Pressed Reformulates Freeze

Fro-yo girl here. Sometimes change isn’t for the better. I’ve eaten probably a hundred cups of Pressed Freeze over the years and Vanilla Freeze was my favorite. Yes, it was icy and a bit gritty but it was also natural tasting, with minimal ingredients, and it had a clean, not too sweet taste.

Recently I ordered Vanilla Freeze and it wasn’t the same. They reformulated Vanilla Freeze “for a creamier taste” and “better mouthfeel.” It’s still an all-natural, plant-based product but they added more ingredients. The old Vanilla Freeze was made with almond, dates, sea salt, and vanilla.

Vanilla Freeze now has coconut milk, oat flour, tapioca syrup, agave syrup, citrus fiber, etc. It’s not as clean as it used to be (they’ve added a lot more ingredients). One serving is now 260 calories with 12g total fat, 36g total carbs, and 16g of total sugars.

Vanilla Freeze: The reformulated Vanilla Freeze tastes sweeter. It’s also thicker, creamier, and not as clean. The sweetness overwhelmed the flavor of the toppings. I’m going to stick to the juices and nut milks.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Pressed Pumpkin Freeze Returns, Try the Spiced Pumpkin Pie Freeze Sundae

Fro-yo girl here. Pressed first introduced Pumpkin Freeze in 2019. I remember liking it then but the texture was off (too melted, too gritty). Shame. Well, Pumpkin Freeze is back. I was told that it’s been tweaked to be creamier than before. And my experience backs up that statement. It’s really good! The spices aren’t overpowering and you can really taste the pumpkin. Plus, it’s not so sweet. The texture was thick and smooth this time!

Pressed is recommending the Spiced Pumpkin Pie Freeze Sundae: Pumpkin Freeze with granola butter and pecan pralines. Sounds good but I loved Pumpkin Freeze with my favorite Pressed topping, almond butter, plus the pecan pralines and snickerdoodle cookie crumble. Crunchy, creamy, nutty and delightful!

Pumpkin Freeze ingredients: Water, Pumpkin Puree, Maple Syrup, Almonds, Vanilla Extract, Ground Cinnamon, Ground Nutmeg.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

New Pressed Freeze Flavor, Ube

Fro-yo girl here. Pressed has been very busy this year, introducing lots of new Freeze flavors. The newest Freeze flavor is Ube. It’s plant-based and made with ube, coconut cream, almonds, agave, tapioca, etc.

Ube Freeze: It was sweet and creamy, but also too soft. It seemed to melt right away and didn’t seem very cold. The texture was interesting too, with bits of tapioca. It was like having a lightly sweet cold pudding; the flavors of the coconut and ube were complementary. Recommended toppings: blueberries, almond butter, granola.

Ube has been a pretty popular froyo flavor, with Ube froyo offered by Yogurtland, Red Mango Philippines, Pinkberry Philippines, Yoh Froz (Philippines), Yoga-urt, Rosy Yogurt, etc. As you can see, it’s particularly popular in the Philippines.

Vanilla Freeze is still my favorite.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

New Pressed Freeze Flavor: Supercharged Snickerdoodle

Fro-yo girl here. Pressed has been introducing lots of new Freeze flavors this year. The latest is Supercharged Snickerdoodle Freeze which available as a sundae with snickerdoodle cookie crumble and a drizzle of chocolate.

Supercharged Snickerdoodle Freeze is plant-based (vegan) and made with coconut cream, spinach puree, coconut oil, almonds, cinnamon, vanilla extract, sea salt, and spirulina extract. I tried it and it was way too sweet; and I love snickerdoodle cookies. I couldn’t order a cup of it. The cinnamon was very pronounced but not the spinach. It wasn’t as icy as some of the other Freeze flavors but whoa, so sweet. I know it’s not refined sugar but they do sweeten it with brown rice syrup and agave.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Pressed Juicery Introduces New Flavor, Blueberry & A New Sundae

Fro-yo girl here. Pressed introduced a new Freeze (their plant-based soft serve) flavor on July 4th. Blueberry Freeze is made with a base of oat milk, coconut cream, blueberry puree, sea salt, and sweet corn flavor. It’s plant-based, vegan, and all-natural. The Summer Berry Crunch sundae is Blueberry Freeze topped with granola butter, blueberries, and corn flakes.

Blueberry Freeze: It’s less icy than the other Freeze flavors but softer (at least the serving I received was much softer than usual). I couldn’t taste the corn, coconut, or oat milk but I could taste blueberries. It was slightly tangy and fairly sweet but not in an unpleasant or cloying way. Recommended toppings: Blueberries, chocolate chip cookie crumble, and almond butter.

Blueberry Freeze is available only for two weeks.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Pressed Juicery New Freeze: Dragon Fruit

Fro-yo girl here. It’s been awhile since Pressed came out with a new Freeze flavor – Blood Orange was the last new flavor and that was released in January 2020. They also introduced acai bowls in July 2020; the acai which comes out of the soft serve machine, so it’s a lot like Freeze.

Dragon Fruit Freeze is available as a Freeze (with toppings) or as a smoothie bowl (same product – it either comes in a cup or a bowl). The soft serve has a beautiful blush pink color. It’s much creamier and smoother than the Freeze flavors that are made with almond milk. Dragon Fruit Freeze is made with oat milk, dragon fruit puree, coconut cream, mango puree, strawberry puree, agave, monk fruit, lemon juice, pea protein, and sea salt. Dragon fruit doesn’t have a strong flavor, so I mostly tasted the mango and coconut. There was another taste and I was tempted to say that dragon fruit tastes like strawberry, only I see that they added strawberry to Dragon Fruit Freeze (I didn't know that there was strawberry when I tasted Dragon Fruit Freeze). Anyway, it was sweeter than I expected and did not have any tang. I think people will like the creaminess of Dragon Fruit Freeze.

Ingredients: Oat Milk (Water Oat Flour, Natural Flavor), Red Dragon Fruit Puree, Coconut Cream, Mango Puree, Strawberry Puree, Agave, Monk Fruit (Erythritol, Monk Fruit Extract), Lemon Juice, Pea Protein, Sea Salt.

Dragon Fruit Freeze is available while supplies last for a limited time.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Pressed Juicery New Acai Bowls & Price Increase

Fro-yo girl here. Pressed Juicery is now offering new Acai Pressed Bowls at select locations. I spotted the bowls at the Americana at Brand in Glendale, CA. There were three types of acai bowls: Original, Power, and Superfood. You can also design a custom bowl. The acai bowls are $9.75 or $8.75 for members. The acai is dispensed from their soft serve machines.

The acai base is made with oat milk, coconut cream, pea protein, and banana puree. Since I detest bananas, I didn’t get one. Samples are not allowed at this time, due to the coronavirus.

I also noticed a slight price increase for Pressed Freeze. Toppings (up to 3) used to be $1 and now they’re $1.50. One sign said the size 1 Freeze is $5.50 but another sign said $5. I guess one sign is old but both were up at the same time.

Meanwhile, I spotted Pressed Frozen at Gelson’s in La Canada Flintridge, CA.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

2020 Glendale, CA Froyo Roundup

Fro-yo girl here. Back in 2015, I visited every place in Glendale, CA that offered soft serve froyo and found six shops. I included Pressed Juicery, even though its plant-based soft serve, Freeze, is not technically frozen yogurt. That was five years ago. Since that 2015 post, the three of the six shops have closed: My Yummy Yogurt, Pinkberry, and Yoppi Yogurt. One of the Haagen Dazs locations, the one inside Glendale Galleria, no longer offers froyo. Ice ‘N’ Cream inside the Glendale Galleria was open in 2015, but it wasn’t serving froyo at that time. They were serving soft serve ice cream in 2015. The last time I checked, they were serving froyo.

I'm so sad that Pinkberry was replaced by a medical office called Forward. The Americana location was my favorite Pinkberry in the area.

Since 2015, three new froyo shops have opened in Glendale, and Ice ‘N’ Cream, inside the Glendale Galleria, started offering froyo.

Yoga-urt, which I’ve written about many times, opened in July 2015 in Kenneth Village. It’s the best place to get froyo in Glendale, hands down. Glendale is lucky to have such an innovative small business. Yoga-urt is LA’s first all organic plant-based froyo shop, with handcrafted, probiotic, all-natural soft serve. The froyo is also kosher, soy-free, and gluten-free. Toppings and cones are gluten-free and soy-free as well. Their soft serve tastes so natural and fresh and it’s thick and dense. It’s not self-serve but that’s a good thing because servings are generous and pretty. They just added breakfast and the gluten-free, soy-free, vegan waffles are so good! You can get a waffle topped with froyo! Breakfast is served Wednesday - Sunday from 9 AM - 1 PM.

Menchie’s opened in downtown Glendale in February 2017. I was there for the grand opening and I still swing by occasionally. It’s a good location, better than most in the area, but they’re slow to get the new flavors of the month. There are 12 self-serve flavors a day, plus froyo cakes.

Go Greek Yogurt, which offered self-serve Greek froyo and Greek fresh yogurt, opened inside the Glendale Galleria in 2018 and closed in 2019. Another froyo concept, Prinkipia, is taking over their kiosk though.
Prinkipia is a chain that is primarily mall-based. Some locations have boba drinks and no froyo. Others are have froyo and no drinks. It looks like the Glendale location will carry froyo.

Ice ‘N’ Cream
is an old school snack stand inside Glendale Galleria that opened in 1988. The menu includes fresh juices, gelato, Thrifty Ice Cream, fruit cup, bionicos, smoothies, slushies, nachos, frozen bananas, ICEE, boba milk tea, etc. It’s has a Mexican fruit/dessert/snack shop feel. They had 6 types of froyo and sorbet during my visit. I was disappointed in my froyo and wouldn’t go back.

Pressed Juicery hasn’t changed that much, though they added new flavors of Freeze and developed another frozen dessert with a coconut cream and almond base called Frozen. Frozen is scoopable.

Current places to get froyo (or plant-based soft serve) in Glendale:

  • HAAGEN DAZS: 889 Americana Way, Glendale, CA 91210
  • ICE ‘N’ CREAM: 100 W Broadway, Glendale, CA 91210
  • MENCHIE’S: 251 N Brand Blvd, Glendale, CA 91203
  • PRESSED JUICERY: 889 Americana Way, Glendale, CA 91210
  • YOGA-URT: 1407 ½ W Kenneth Rd., Glendale, CA 91201

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Pressed Juicery New Blood Orange Freeze and Juice

Fro-yo girl here. Blood oranges are currently in season, so they’re a good choice for the first new Pressed Juicery Freeze flavor of the year. Blood Orange Freeze is made with coconut milk, blood orange puree, monk fruit, oat milk, cherry puree and vanilla extract. It’s nut and dairy-free. One size 1 serving is 150 calories – a little higher than the other flavors.

* Blood Orange Freeze: It’s a pretty pale pink (see the swirl on the right of the cup) and not brownish like the other almond milk based, date sweetened flavors. The texture was notably softer, creamier and not as dense as the almond milk-based flavors. The first thing I tasted was the coconut milk. The orange flavor was more of a tangy undertone. The coconut flavor was also mild. The oat milk and monk fruit added an interesting, different taste. I was expecting a stronger orange flavor.

* Blood Orange juice:
It’s made with orange, blood orange and kumquat. In contrast to the freeze, the orange flavor was intense. The blood orange made it a little tangier. Bonus points for adding kumquat. Kumquats are delicious but I don’t see them too often.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Pressed Juicery: New Pumpkin Freeze, New Pumpkin Oat Milk

Fro-yo girl here. I was definitely excited when I heard about Pressed Juicery’s new fall flavor, Pumpkin Freeze. It’s made with just a few ingredients: pumpkin puree, almond milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and maple syrup. I headed over to Pressed on National Dessert Day to try it. While I found Pumpkin Freeze, the employees said they were having problems with the soft serve machine and the texture. Pumpkin Freeze was either runny or too hard. I tried a runny sample. I did like it because I could taste the pumpkin and the spices. It was clean tasting and not too sweet. However, the texture was off (soft and gritty). Too bad!

While I was there I tried the Pumpkin Oat Milk which has oat milk, maple syrup, pumpkin, vanilla, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg. The pumpkin and the spice flavors were much weaker. It tasted like watery oat milk. Their almond milk drinks are definitely better.

Update: I was able to get a cup of Pumpkin Freeze at The Americana (Glendale).

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

New at Pressed Juicery: Frozen Non-Dairy Dessert (No, It’s Not Freeze)

Fro-yo girl here. I was at Pressed Juicery in Old Town Pasadena picking up a green juice this week when I spotted a new product that Pressed hasn’t mentioned on social media yet. It’s their new plant-based ice cream, aka frozen non-dairy dessert. They describe it as “a creamy plant-based blend of coconut cream and almonds.” There are three flavors: Vanilla, Strawberry, and Matcha, and two sizes, large/ pints (16 oz) and small/ single serve (5.3 fl oz). They’re stored in the store’s freezer. A small size was $5 with membership. A pint is $8 with membership.

* Vanilla Frozen Non-Dairy Dessert: Unlike Pressed Juicery Freeze, the non-dairy has coconut cream and it’s sweetened with maple syrup instead of dates. Also, it has thickeners (natural ones): tapioca and xanthan gum. And, it's not soft serve. However, the list of ingredients is still short and it’s all natural. While water is the main ingredient, the frozen dessert was not icy or watery. This is due to the richness of the coconut cream. The coconut cream flavor dominated the other flavors but it also made the product rich and creamy. The coconut cream flavor lingers on the palate. I thought it was very good though I found it sweeter than necessary. I still prefer the lightness of Freeze. The frozen non-dairy dessert is richer and heavier.

Ingredients (Vanilla): Water, coconut cream, maple syrup, tapioca, coconut oil, ground almonds, vanilla extract, salt, xanthan gum.

One serving is 250 calories, 12g total fat, 35 total carbs, and 21g sugars.

I wonder what the frozen non-dairy dessert would be like as a soft serve? Anyway, it’s definitely worth trying. If they put Freeze in the freezer, I’m sure it would be too hard and icy.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Pressed Juicery’s New Freeze Flavor, Pineapple

Fro-yo girl here. With all the excitement over Pressed Juicery’s new toppings and sundaes, I overlooked something important; there’s a new Freeze flavor, Pineapple. Pineapple Freeze is made with water, maple syrup, pineapple, mango, dates, and almonds. I tried it and it was sweeter than I expected. Pineapple is usually pretty tangy. It was good, but I think it would be better if it had some tang. Recommended toppings: Peach gummy bears, coconut, strawberries.

Pressed Juicery has a special membership perk this month: one FREE size 1 Freeze with three toppings with any purchase, so it’s the perfect time to get a Freeze and try the new toppings and sundaes.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Pressed Juicery’s New Toppings and Sundaes

Fro-yo girl here. A couple of new things have been launched at Pressed Juicery as of Friday, June 28. First, there are new toppings and a new way to display toppings. New toppings include peach gummy bears, chocolate chip cookie crumble, marshmallows, sprinkles, praline pecan pieces, and raspberry puree. I don’t think they eliminated any toppings (whew).

I noticed the toppings display changed recently. They used to have a list of toppings on display on the glass divider near the Freeze station. Now you can see the toppings in clear glass bottles. Each one also lists whether the topping is vegan, gluten-free, kosher, and non-GMO.

As for the Freeze Sundaes, they are:

  • Summer Delight: Strawberry Freeze with vegan peach gummy bears + blueberries
  • Chocolate Churro: Chocolate Freeze with granola butter + cacao drizzle
  • S'mores: Chocolate Freeze with vegan marshmallows, chocolate chips + granola butter
  • Blueberry Muffin: Vanilla Freeze with honey, blueberries + granola butter
  • Tropical Dream: Pineapple mango Freeze with raspberry puree, sprinkles + shredded coconut
  • Strawberry Pie: Strawberry Freeze with vegan marshmallows, praline pecans + granola butter
  • Chocolate Chip Cookie: Vanilla Freeze with chocolate chip cookie crumble, chocolate drizzle + chocolate chips
  • AB&J: Vanilla Freeze with almond butter, raspberry puree + strawberries

I selected the AB&J which was refreshing and delicious. The raspberry puree was obviously natural and not overly sweetened. The price hasn’t changed and they're running a promo right now, two items for $10.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Pinkberry Closes at Newport Fashion Island in Newport Beach, CA

Fro-yo girl here. I’ve been trying to go to every Pinkberry with an added sense of urgency, because they keep closing. I went to Fashion Island really wanting to go to Pinkberry after doing some shopping, only to learn that the shop closed less than a week ago, according to mall employees.

I don’t know why Pinkberry closed but it opened in April 2008 and was over 10 years old. Pinkberry Fashion Island was their 50th location when it opened. Maybe they lost their lease? Their Facebook page has already been taken down.

Fashion Island has a Pressed Juicery that serves Freeze, the vegan soft serve, and Bloomingdale’s has froyo. At least there’s still froyo at Fashion Island. I was actually so devastated that I forgot to go to Bloomingdale’s for froyo.

Pressed Juicery Testing New Products, Overnight Oats and Chia Pudding

Fro-yo girl here. During my recent visit to the Pressed Juicery in Hollywood to get my Pressed Freeze, I spotted a sign for overnight oats and chia pudding. I haven’t seen that sign at the other Pressed Juicery locations that I’ve been to. They had four varieties for $5 each:

  • Almond Vanilla Chia Pudding with Berries
  • Lemon & Blueberry Overnight Oats
  • Coconut Chia Pudding with Blueberries
  • Peanut Butter & Banana Overnight Oats

The price seems very reasonable. I didn’t try it but I should have bought one for later. I made overnight oats once, but I didn’t like the mushy texture at all. Chia pudding has some texture that overnight oats lack.

Pressed Juicery Testing New Freeze Flavor, Coffee

Fro-yo girl here. Today is World Plant Milk Day. It seemed like a good day for a Pressed Freeze. I was delighted to spot a new test flavor at the Glendale/Americana Pressed Juicery, Coffee.

I’ve never had Pressed Juicery’s Vanilla Coffee drink. It’s made with almond milk, dates, Kona coffee, and vanilla bean. The Coffee Freeze probably has the same short list of natural ingredients. Like other flavors of Freeze, it’s plant-based, vegan, and has no added sugar.

I no longer see Vanilla Coffee listed on the Pressed Juicery website, so perhaps it's been discontinued or is seasonal.

* Coffee Freeze: The coffee flavor is mellow and smooth. It’s probably not made with dark roast coffee beans? What I like best about Freeze is that it’s not that sweet, it’s very refreshing, and the aftertaste is very clean. It’s one of the better Freeze flavors for sure.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Pressed Juicery New Freeze Flavors, New Toppings, New Membership Program

Fro-yo girl here. When Pressed Juicery introduces a new Freeze flavor, they usually introduce one new flavor at a time. It’s been awhile since there was a new Freeze flavor; the last new flavor was Matcha Almond Freeze back in May 2017. I was excited to get an email from Pressed Juicery announcing two new flavors of Freeze, Creamy Coconut and Mango Turmeric. Both are nut free, plant-based (vegan), with no sugar added. I like how Freeze is made with just a few natural ingredients.

I went to Pressed Juicery at the Americana at Brand in Glendale, CA to try the new flavors. However, they were having problems with the soft serve machine, and weren’t able to serve either new flavor. And they weren’t sure when the problem would be resolved. I went to another location and they were having problems with the machine too. However, they did let me try Creamy Coconut though the texture was icier than it should be.

* Creamy Coconut (water, pineapple, coconut, vanilla extract, sea salt): It tasted like sweetened ice. I couldn’t detect pineapple or coconut. But every location that I went to had problems getting the texture right, so I didn’t try it with the texture they wanted to achieve.

* Mango Turmeric (apple, orange, mango, coconut, pineapple, turmeric): Mango flavors can be really sweet because mango is so sweet. I liked how this flavor wasn’t just mango. It was less sweet and I could taste the pineapple and quite a bit of turmeric. It was icier than their almond milk flavors but had a pleasant, clean flavor. They added a new topping for the mango, Tajin.

While I was there I noticed a sign for the new membership program. It’s free to join. You authorize Pressed Juicery to load a set dollar amount ($10 minimum) to your account every month. This allows you to enjoy the member discount, juices and Freeze for $5. The old loyalty program is separate and will continue but you won’t earn points on your membership purchases. You also can’t combine offers. The amounts do roll over and you can cancel at any time. It’s a good deal! Maybe froyo shops should consider offering something similar. It guarantees income, which will help shops deal with seasonal downturns. It might increase consumption too, since members are pre-paying for treats.

Sign up on the Pressed Juicery website or at one of their stores. https://www.pressedjuicery.com/

Pressed Juicery Introduces Matcha Almond Freeze

Fro-yo girl here. Pressed Juicery introduced several new matcha products last week, including Matcha Tea, Matcha Almond, Matcha Lemonade and Matcha Almond Freeze. Matcha Tea and Matcha Lemonade are made with probiotics. All of Pressed Juicery’s matcha products are made with Panatea’s ceremonial grade matcha from Japanese tea leaves.

I love matcha everything, so I wanted to try Matcha Almond Freeze as soon as I heard about it. However, the Pressed Juicery that I went to ran out of both the Matcha Almond Freeze and Matcha Almond Milk. I had to go back after they received a shipment.

* Matcha Almond Freeze: I could taste the matcha though it wasn’t a strong matcha flavor (it’s more muted and subtle). The texture wasn’t as gritty as the last time I ordered Freeze but it was icy as usual. The flavor isn’t too sweet and it has a very clean, natural flavor – but it also doesn’t have that much flavor and the texture is decidedly icy. It melted quickly. The flavor of the toppings (almonds, almond butter drizzle, dark chocolate chips) overwhelmed the flavor of the Freeze. Matcha Almond Freeze is made with matcha, kale, spinach, romaine, cucumber, almonds, dates, and vanilla bean.

* Matcha Tea (matcha, probiotic, maple syrup, lemon): this was okay but didn’t have enough matcha flavor for me

* Matcha Lemonade (lemon, matcha, probiotic, maple syrup, mint): the mint flavor dominated which wasn’t what I expected, there wasn’t even much lemon flavor

* Matcha Almond (matcha, almonds, dates, vanilla bean, cinnamon): this was the best matcha drink but the matcha flavor still seemed muted

I was surprised that Matcha Almond Freeze replaced the Greens Freeze because that means that all the Freeze flavors have nuts. But apparently Greens Freeze will return with an improved texture.

3.5 out of 5 stars.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

New Strawberry Almond Freeze from Pressed Juicery

Fro-yo girl here. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Pressed Juicery has a new flavor of juice, Strawberry Almond and also a new Freeze flavor (finally - it's their first new Freeze flavor since Freeze was introduced). Strawberry Almond juice is made with beet, almonds, vanilla bean, coconut water and strawberry. Strawberry Almond Freeze is made with the same ingredients plus dates for sweetness.

* Strawberry Almond Freeze: So, I tried the Strawberry Almond juice and they added coconut water, so it’s thinner than their regular Vanilla Almond Milk. The coconut water lightens up the juice. It’s sweet and the strawberry flavor isn’t that strong. The Strawberry Almond Freeze is similar. It tastes sweet, without any added sugar, but the strawberry flavor is weak. Also, the texture is thick, icy and gritty. It needs more almond milk. But it is a healthy, clean tasting treat.

3 out of 5 stars.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Pressed Juicery Freeze Review

Fro-yo girl here. Do you love cold pressed juice? Are you a fan of Pressed Juicery?

Pressed Juicery launched “Freeze” in June 2014 in Palo Alto, CA. Freeze is a vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free soft serve frozen treat made with 100% fruits, vegetables, and nuts. The flavors are similar to their juice flavors.

Freeze flavors include Greens, Roots, Citrus, Fruits, Chocolate Almond Freeze and Vanilla Almond Freeze. Freeze contains no added sugar but is sweetened naturally with dates. It has no additives or binders. The Chocolate Almond Freeze is made with four ingredients: almond, dates, sea salt and cacao.

I tried the Vanilla Almond Freeze and the consistency was icy and not very smooth, but the flavor was very natural and clean. It's surprisingly sweet thanks to the dates. A small (4 oz.) is $4.95 and you can add healthy toppings like fresh fruit, spices, granola, nuts, almond butter, honey, rose syrup, peanut butter, Hawaiian pink salt, cacao nut freezing drizzle, and goji berries.

Freeze is available at select Pressed Juicery locations. I found it at the Americana. I'd say that it's worth trying.

Less than a block away from Pressed Juicery, Pinkberry at the Americana offered their new Frozen Juice. Frozen Juice was introduced early this year. It’s a dairy-free frozen treat (their first) with no added sugar and three servings of fruit. The price is the same as their frozen yogurt. Dairy-free Pinkberry is currently available only in two locations in the LA area.
