Hi-Chew Yogurt Mix Review

Fro-yo girl here. I love Hi-Chew, so I was excited to find a bag of Morinaga Hi-Chew Yogurt Mix at Hmart Arcadia (1101 W Huntington Dr., Arcadia, CA). One bag is 3.17 oz and $1.99. It’s made in China under license of Morinaga & Co., Ltd., Japan. The candies are individually wrapped. The assortment includes three flavors: Blueberry Yogurt, Plain Yogurt, Strawberry Yogurt.

  • Plain Yogurt: The candy was very firm and chewy (like Starburst). I think it was firmer than the Hi-Chew from Japan and the pieces were misshapen. The ones from Japan aren’t misshapen. Flavor wise, it tasted like a sweet Yakult like flavor with a slight tang. The texture and flavor reminded me of bubblegum.
  • Strawberry Yogurt: This candy was a little tangier, with a faint strawberry flavor didn’t taste that natural.
  • Blueberry Yogurt: The Blueberry Yogurt flavor was sweeter but more natural. It was the best flavor.

I had Hi-Chew yogurt before and it was better then.

Ingredients: Glucose syrup, sugar, vegetable oil (palm oil, hydrogenated palm oil), less than 2% of gelatin, natural and artificial flavors, lactic acid, malic acid, sorbitan, monostearate, sucrose fatty acid esters, strawberry jam, strawberry juice concentrate, fruit juice (color), vegetable juice (color), purple sweet potato juice (color), soy lecithin.

One serving is 6 pieces, 130 calories, 3g fat, 19g sugars, and 0g protein.

3.5 out of 5 stars

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.
