Fro yo girl here. Levinsky, the Tel Aviv–inspired street food spot, opened in February 2026 in West Hollywood. The food, including the froyo, is kosher. But does Levinsky really offer Israeli-style froyo?
I’ve been tracking froyo in Israel for years, and most Israeli shops serve traditional soft serve frozen yogurt from a soft serve machine — places like Anita Gelato, Blueberry, and Leggenda. There are mix-in yogurt concepts in Israel, but they’re not the dominant style, at least when it comes to what’s served in shops.
Levinsky starts with a homemade Greek frozen yogurt base. You choose the add-ins, and it gets blended in a machine that looks like a drill. The froyo is $17.99, or if you want fruit only, $14.95.
Add-ons: banana, strawberries, mangos, dates, pineapple, mixed berries, Oreos, black & white chocolate log, halva, waffle, pecan

Texture & Flavor
Mix-in-style froyo naturally has more texture, but Levinsky’s version misses the mark. The texture was gritty, with noticeable bits of ice throughout. The yogurt base itself tasted too icy, and the proportions felt off — not enough yogurt, too many frozen berries.
Instead of a creamy, tangy yogurt flavor, the cup tasted mostly like frozen fruit purée. The yogurt character was almost lost.
The texture issues, icy base, and weak yogurt flavor make it hard to recommend — especially at nearly $18 a cup.
