Current Froyo Shops in Tucson
- Froyo Fresh, 8245 N Silverbell Rd #127, Tucson, is a self-serve shop that changed ownership in 2019. They also have hard ice cream and ice cream rolls. Froyo Fresh opened in 2018.
- Frozen Delight, 1101 N Wilmot Rd #107, Tucson, was founded in 1990, making it the oldest existing froyo shop in Tucson. The local family-owned business offers counter-serve froyo, a case of Thrifty ice cream, boba drinks, milkshakes, and churros. They have non-fat froyo, low lactose and low sugar options. The froyo was good but the kind you find in many froyo shops. Frozen Delight seems to have changed names a few times. It was called Yogurt Delight and Yogurt Station.
- Peachwave, 12125 N Oracle Rd, Oro Valley, is a self-serve froyo chain that opened in June 2021. It looks like one of the better Peachwave locations with fresh baked cookies and some interesting local toppings. My friend who lives nearby said it was okay. Peachwave is based in Holland, Michigan and has been licensing their brand since 2009. I’ve been to a few Peachwave locations in California and they’re decent but the flavors are standard.
- Pinkberry, 3820 W River Rd Suite 140, Tucson, opened in 2018 in Marana Marketplace. This counter-serve location carries six froyo flavors a day and also offers made-to-order smoothies. I like their tart flavors better than their sweet flavors. Their original tart was the flavor that started the second froyo craze.
- Sundaze, 4777 E Sunrise Dr #139, Tucson, is closed on Sundays. Go figure. The family-owned business opened in 2002, taking over Carol’s Yogurt Shoppe. Sundaze offers counter-serve froyo, Thrifty Ice Cream, smoothies, shakes, malts, and yogurt pies. The ownership changed about two years ago.
- Tutti Frutti, 5870 E Broadway Blvd, Tucson, opened inside Park Place Mall in 2010. It’s self-serve and part of an international chain of froyo shops.
I found so many closed froyo shops in Tucson that I’m writing about them in a separate post.
You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.
