Yogurtland Holiday Flavors

brown sugar boba milk tea mochi

Fro-yo girl here. Now that the day after Halloween seems to be the official start of the Christmas season, holiday froyo flavors are here.

Fan-favorite White Chocolate Peppermint froyo is back. Yogurtland describes White Chocolate Peppermint froyo as, “Our mix of real gourmet white chocolate and delicious peppermint serves up joy by the spoonful, just in time for the holidays.” The flavor is lowfat, gluten-free, and made with real white chocolate peppermint. It wasn’t at the Yogurtland location that I went to but I’ve had it before. I liked it. It’s not too minty. Recommended toppings: chocolate shell, chocolate chips, whipped cream

And there is a NEW flavor, Cinnamon Sticky Bun froyo. Yogurtland encourages guests to “Dive into the flavor of this sticky, sweet treat with a touch of cinnamon.” Cinnamon Sticky Bun froyo is lowfat but not gluten-free. It’s made with real cinnamon, vanilla wafer cookies, English toffee, and sweetened condensed milk. I was expecting a strong cinnamon flavor even though the sign said a touch of cinnamon. The buns in the picture look like they have a lot of cinnamon. Anyway, the froyo tasted more like a caramel cheesecake. It was creamy and smooth. Recommended toppings: cheesecake, Cinnamon Toast Crunch (or S’mores cereal)

I spotted a new topping: brown sugar boba milk tea mochi. These were good! They’re big too. The chewy mochi has a creamy filling with more mochi inside.

I saw a picture of a red Yogurtland holiday cup but I haven’t seen the new cups at my Yogurtland yet.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

New Yogurtland Froyo Flavor, Thai Tea, Return of Boba Milk Tea Froyo, New Stickers

Fro-yo girl here. Yogurtland has a new froyo flavor, Thai Tea, and they’ve brought back Boba Milk Tea froyo as the other featured flavor. Plus, they have the cutest new boba, gummy candy, and froyo sticker sheets!

So, first the new flavor is Yogurtland’s version of “authentic Thai Tea with bold black tea flavor balanced with sweet cream notes.” Thai Tea froyo is nonfat and gluten-free. I know Thai tea is usually orange (because of food dye) but wow, Yogurtland’s Thai Tea froyo was super orange in color. It did taste like Thai tea. I could taste the tea and spices. It wasn’t quite as creamy as I expected (might have been due to the location that I went to) but it was smooth and refreshing. I also found it super sweet but I feel the same about Thai tea in general. That’s why I usually wait for the ice to melt before I drink it. It was good but too sweet for me. Recommended toppings: whipped cream, mochi.

When Yogurtland introduced Boba Milk Tea froyo in 2021, they called it Milk Tea froyo. I’m pretty sure Boba Milk Tea froyo is the same as Milk Tea froyo.

I spotted a new topping, sour mango gummy candies. They’re really good, sour and chewy. I don’t think they go with the boba milk tea or Thai tea froyo though.

I also saw that they had new sticker sheets for the spring. The stickers show boba milk tea, froyo, gummy candies, a froyo spoon, and a cup of froyo that says for Mom. Ask for the stickers the next time you’re at Yogurtland. They’re free.

Thai Tea froyo and Boba Milk Tea froyo are available for a limited time, while supplies last.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

New Yogurtland Holiday Flavors, New Holiday Spoon & Cup & More

Fro-yo girl here. ‘Tis the season and Yogurtland is full of festive spirit. They’ve also been busy putting together a big holiday promotion that includes new froyo flavors, new froyo toppings, a new holiday cup, a new holiday spoon, and branded merchandise and accessories.

Let’s start with the new cup design, featuring gold stars on a background of red and burgundy, a cup of froyo, and the words Love, Hope, and Joy. Love, Hope & Joy were the inspiration for  the 2017 Yogurtland campaign and the words also appear on some of the new branded Yogurtland merchandise. The last new Yogurtland cup design was introduced in 2020 for the launch of the smoothie bowl.

The new holiday spoon is red and has a present on the end of the handle. On the back of the spoon, it says Join Real Rewards. It’s the third new Yogurtland spoon this year.

The two new froyo flavors are both inspired by holiday cookies.

Chocolate Peppermint Cookie: This new flavor reminded me of the old Yogurtland flavor, Chocolate Mint Cookies. I haven’t had Chocolate Mint Cookies in so long! And I used to like it a lot. Chocolate Peppermint Cookie was pretty chocolatey but I could also taste peppermint. I think I like Chocolate Mint Cookies froyo better. Recommended toppings: chocolate shell, chocolate chips, and whipped cream.

Snickerdoodle: The cinnamon wasn’t too strong; the mild flavor of cinnamon and buttery cookies was delicious. The texture was smooth and creamy. Recommended toppings: Biscoff cookie crumbs, mini Stroopwaffel cookies

There was also a White Elephant froyo flavor. The mystery flavor is described as: “Like the iconic White Elephant holiday gift exchange, this ever-changing and unexpected flavor is a fun and mysterious surprise.” The yogurt was red and creamy; it tasted like red velvet cupcake batter.

The new toppings included mini Stroopwaffel cookies and tree-shaped holiday gummies.

In other Yogurtland news, Yogurtland launched its first branded apparel and merchandise collection. The collection includes apparel for adults and kids, bibs, giant froyo spoons, mugs, tumblers, hats, totes, backpacks, pet accessories, and more. Proceeds from the sale of Yogurtland merchandise will be donated to Yogurtland Cares, Yogurtland's non-profit that supports organizations that assist women and children.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

New Yogurtland Flavor, Strawberry Banana Frozen Yogurt

Fro-yo girl here. Yogurtland has a new spring flavor, Strawberry Banana frozen yogurt. Yogurtland describes it as: “Created with real strawberries and real bananas, this creamy frozen yogurt is one you will not want to miss!” Strawberry Banana frozen yogurt is nonfat, gluten-free and vitamin C fortified.

Well, I hate bananas but I decided to try the new flavor.

Strawberry Banana frozen yogurt: It wasn’t as awful as I expected because it was pretty balanced. I could taste strawberry and the banana flavor didn’t seem overwhelmingly strong. The texture was smooth and creamy. It seemed relatively inoffensive for a banana flavored froyo.

Who remembers Yogurtland’s Strawberry Banana Taffy NSA flavor? It was an older flavor…I think it came out in 2013. I haven’t seen it for a few years and it’s no longer listed on the Flavor Finder section of the Yogurtland website. I might not have tried it because I hate bananas.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

New Yogurtland Flavor: Sugar Plum Berry Tart & Cyber Monday Deal

Fro-yo girl here. Yogurtland has a new flavor for the holidays: Sugar Plum Berry Tart frozen yogurt. Yes, it’s a tart froyo flavor – yay! Yogurtland describes the new flavor as follows: “Made with real plum and berries, our new frozen yogurt flavor will bring the magic to your holidays!” The froyo is made with marionberries.

Sugar Plum Berry Tart froyo: The froyo is a pretty shade of vibrant pink. It looks like Yogurtland’s Dragon Passion Tart froyo and the flavor reminds me of Dragon Passion Tart as well. It’s fairly tangy. I think I tasted the plum first, then the berry notes. The texture was very thick and smooth. I liked it but I think I prefer single fruit flavor froyo vs. a blend of fruits. Recommended toppings: Fresh berries, mochi, raspberry or mixed berry puree

Did you ever wonder what a Christmas sugar plum is? It’s not a type of plum but a candy made with dried fruit, nuts, and spices pulverized into small balls and rolled in sugar. I’ve never had one or even seen one. The Spruce Eats even has a recipe for sugarplum Christmas candy.

Also, Yogurtland has a Cyber Monday deal: Get a $5 bonus card for every $25 eGift Yogurtland card purchase. There’s a limit of 4 bonus cards per order. The bonus cards are good till the end of this year.

And I spotted some red and green holiday sprinkles at Yogurtland.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

National Spoon Day Promo & New Flavor at Yogurtland: Milk Tea

Fro-yo girl here. Happy National Spoon Day, October 7! I had my calendar marked and visited Yogurtland today for the National Spoon Day promo: get a free giant spoon with a minimum $10 in-store transaction. The giant spoon is brand new and raspberry in color. It says Yogurtland on the front of the spoon (on the handle) and nothing on the back. The spoon is 12 inches long. The giant spoon is available today while supplies last (one spoon per transaction). Online and third party delivery orders are excluded from the promo.

I heard each Yogurtland store only received a bag full of giant spoons (not a case worth of spoons). Also, some diehard spoon collectors were waiting outside my local Yogurtland before they even opened. Wow.

And yes, there’s a new flavor, Milk Tea frozen yogurt. Yogurtland describes it as, “Our delicious new Milk Tea flavor is a throwback to the first Yogurtland, which started as a boba tea shop. It's enhanced with notes of brown sugar and made with real black tea!” Finally! I’ve been asking for milk tea froyo for many years. Also, since Yogurtland did start as a boba shop, I thought they would come out with a milk tea flavor a long time ago. Milk Tea froyo should be their official 15th anniversary flavor. They should have provided boba as a topping.

Milk Tea froyo: Liked it a lot! It tasted like real black milk tea only in yogurt form. I could taste the black tea. It was creamy and smooth. Recommended toppings: chocolate chips, mochi. Milk Tea froyo is nonfat and gluten-free.

I also spied a new topping: orange sprinkles. Cute.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

New Yogurtland Flavor: Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew Light Ice Cream, Labor Day Weekend Special

Fro-yo girl here. Pumpkin season is here and appropriately, Yogurtland’s newest flavor is Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew light ice cream. Yogurtland describes the flavor as, “Bold cold brew coffee flavor balanced with pumpkin spice.” It’s gluten-free and made with real California milk.

Last fall, Yogurtland introduced Cold Brew Coffee light ice cream. Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew light ice cream is similar – the cold brew coffee is strong, stronger than Yogurtland’s Sumatra Coffee flavor. The spices are subtle. I was struck by the strong coffee flavor first, with the pumpkin spice flavor (cinnamon and nutmeg?) hitting afterwards. The flavor was a little bitter and not as sweet or spicy as I expected. It was also a little icier than I expected. Recommended toppings: whipped cream, chocolate chips, and almonds.

FYI, National Coffee Day is September 29 and National Coffee Ice Cream Day was September 6.

Also, during Labor Day Weekend, Yogurtland is offering $3 off online orders of $15 or more. Use code LABORDAY at checkout.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Yogurtland’s New Fall Flavor, Milk ‘N Fruity Cereal Froyo

Fro-yo girl here. Yogurtland just launched their fall, back to school froyo flavor, inspired by childhood breakfast memories. Milk ‘N Fruity Cereal froyo is a lowfat flavor made with vanilla wafers (from the picture, it looks like it’s supposed to taste like Fruit Loops cereal). I can’t remember the last time I had Fruit Loops. I didn’t like it as a kid. What does it even taste like?

Milk ‘N Fruity Cereal froyo is described as, “Our back-to-school inspired froyo flavor that takes you back to your favorite breakfast childhood memories!” Okay, that doesn’t reveal much. I tried some and it tasted predominantly like vanilla with a hint of fake fruit like the kind you find in powdered drink mixes. The texture was smooth and creamy. It looked white like vanilla. I wasn't a fan; however, the fruit flavor wasn’t that strong so it could be overlooked with the right toppings. Recommended toppings: Fruity Pebbles, Nilla Wafers, and whipped cream.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

New Flavor at Yogurtland, Cookie Dough Froyo

Fro-yo girl here. I received a Yogurtland flyer with coupons in the mail this week. The flyer says that the new Yogurtland flavor, Cookie Dough froyo, will be in stores starting April 19. The new flavor is available for a limited time, while supplies last. I checked the Yogurtland app and Yogurtland Eagle Rock has Cookie Dough froyo early.

Cookie Dough froyo: Yogurtland describes it as “a classic cookie dough taste as a sweet creamy froyo”. It’s lowfat and made with real cookie crumbs and chocolate chips. Cookie Dough froyo was creamy and smooth, though I could see darker bits (the cookie crumbs?). It was mild and tasted more like cookie dough than cookies or chocolate chips. I didn’t detect a strong note of chocolate. I personally don’t like cookie dough (too sweet) but if you like cookie dough, be sure to try Yogurtland’s Cookie Dough froyo. Recommended toppings: Chocolate chips, walnuts, chocolate chip cookies.

Also, self-serve is back at Yogurtland Eagle Rock. It’s not full self-serve but you can get your own froyo and the associate will add toppings. Gloves are provided. They had a sanitizing station as well but it seemed to be out of sanitizer.

Yogurtland Eagle Rock has been busy during my last few visits. A good sign!

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

New Yogurtland Flavor, Blueberry Lavender light ice cream

Fro-yo girl here. Yogurtland’s new flavor launches today, Blueberry Lavender light ice cream. The new flavor is made with real blueberries and lavender and is vitamin C fortified and gluten-free. It’s 45 calories per ounce. The flavor is available for a limited time, while supplies last.

I generally don’t like lavender flavored foods because they can seem too strong and floral. But, I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty Blueberry Lavender ice cream was. The flavor was mild and the blueberry flavor was much stronger the lavender flavor. The lavender added a light floral note that made the ice cream more interesting. The texture was smooth and creamy, and the sweetness and flavors were not overpowering. Recommended toppings: Blueberries, white chocolate chips, almonds, boysenberry shortbread cookies.

Blueberry Lavender brought back memories of Yogurtland’s Strawberry Rose frozen yogurt flavor, which was introduced last August, during the Flavor Masterpieces promotion. I liked Strawberry Rose quite a bit.

I didn’t spot any new toppings.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Yogurtland’s No Weigh $5 Cup on Tuesday, November 13, New Butterfinger Frozen Custard, New Toppings

Fro-yo girl here. Earlier this week, Yogurtland sent an email about their upcoming No Weigh $5 Cup event on Tuesday, November 13 from 4 PM – 9 PM. The unlimited cup offer is for a 16 oz cup. I’m not sure that I’m ready to build another unlimited cup, since my freezer is still full of froyo from my last unlimited cup. It’s also not pleasant to build an unlimited cup when its crowded. But, it sounds like a fun event and they added another enticement: a new flavor, Butterfinger Frozen Custard, and new toppings, Butterfinger Bites and Peppermint Pretzels.

Yes, it’s frozen custard, not frozen yogurt (sad face). However, I’m a long time fan of Butterfinger. The best part of the Butterfinger is the crispy peanut butter center. The texture is so satisfying. While frozen custard or frozen yogurt can’t have a crispy texture, Butterfinger Bites can.

Yogurtland’s Butterfinger Frozen Custard is made with BUTTERFINGER®, of course. One ounce has 60 calories, 7g carbohydrates, and 1g protein. Their custard was very rich and super thick – like twice as thick as their frozen yogurt. The texture was smooth and while I could taste the Butterfinger (the peanut butter center), the flavor was more muted than I expected.

Menchie’s introduced a Butterfinger frozen yogurt flavor in 2016 called Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar which had more Butterfinger flavor.
