Fro-yo girl here. Two new collectible Best Friend spoons are coming to or already at your local Menchie’s. The Best Friend spoons feature Menchie (magenta spoon) and his best friend, Chip (green spoon) – Menchie’s colors. The spoons look like two pieces of a puzzle and they fit together. Menchie’s spoon says Together and Chip’s spoon says Forever. On the back, the spoons have a rainbow, the Chip spoon says Best and the Menchie’s spoon says Friends. Very cute!
Also, Menchie’s has a froyo spoon photo contest. To enter to win a $100 Menchie’s gift card for you and your best friend, pick up a Menchie or Chip spoon, take a picture with the spoon, post the picture to Instagram, tell Menchie’s why you chose that spoon in the caption, and tag your best friend, @mymenchies, #BestFriendSpoon. The official Menchie’s account hasn’t mentioned the spoon photo contest yet, but many Menchie’s locations have mentioned the contest.
The spoons are available for a limited time only, while supplies last. Wish there was a mini version made into a pair of necklaces, one for you and one for your bff.
The last new Menchie’s spoon, the yellow Sprinkle spoon, was supposed to be handed out during the March 21 Hello Sunshine froyo party. But then the coronavirus hit and many Menchie’s locations were closed on March 21. The Hello Sunshine Spring Party was postponed (no new date has been announced) but I did get the yellow Sprinkle spoon.

Fro-yo girl here. Froyo spoon collectors, I’ve been tracking the collectible new froyo spoons that were released this year in the US and this is the list that I’ve come up with.
- Menchie’s: Holiday Kiwi/Mellow light blue snowman spoon
- Menchie’s: Halloween Menchie as a vampire dark blue spoo
- Menchie’s: Summer Chip as a surfer dark blue spoon
- sweetFrog: The Very Hungry Caterpillar green caterpillar spoons
- Yogurtland: Giant orange Yogurtland spoon (given out at the Santa Ana Flamin’ Hot Cheetos Chester Cheetah meet & greet)
- Yogurtland: Blue Everest and purple Yi Abominable spoons
- Yogurtland: Waffle cone light purple spoon, coinciding with the launch of their waffle cones
Menchie’s had THREE froyo spoon contests. Love that.
I noticed some new spoons outside the US. Moyo (Mexico and other countries in Latin America) had Abominable spoons and spoons for another cartoon that I didn’t recognize. Llaolao had a special white 10th anniversary spoon.

Fro-yo girl here. It’s taken me awhile to track down Menchie’s new holiday spoons, but I finally found them in Berkeley. I thought there were two spoon designs, but it’s one spoon that’s double-sided. Kiwi the Snowman is on the front with a striped scarf and ear muffs. Mellow the Snowman is on the back with a striped snowflake scarf. They’re pale blue.
There’s a holiday spoon contest too. To enter, take a selfie with the Menchie’s Snow One Like You spoon in your Menchie’s mix, post it on Instagram, tag @MyMenchies and use the hashtag #MenchiesSnowman, and make sure your account is public, you’ll be entered into the photo contest. The prize is a $25 Menchie’s gift card. One winner will be chosen every week in November and December. Good luck!
