Chung Hsiang Foods Blueberry Yogurt Sandwich Crackers Review
Fro-yo girl here. I found a new yogurt-flavored sandwich cracker during my recent visit to H Mart in Koreatown LA. Chung Hsiang Foods sandwich crackers are imported from Taiwan. The box was priced at $4.49 and contains six packets of sandwich crackers for a total net weight of 144g. A packet includes two sandwich crackers.
Blueberry yogurt sandwich crackers: The crackers were thin, crispy, and lightly salted. The blueberry yogurt filling in the middle was creamy, tangy, and sweet. I could taste the blueberries. The filling was pretty sweet, but the tanginess helped tone down the sweetness. They’re good but might be an acquired taste (especially if you’re expecting a cookie sandwich).
One serving (2 pieces) is 130 calories, 7g total fat, 14g total carbs, 4g total sugars, and 2g protein.
The sandwich crackers are very Chinese. The thin wheat crackers are crispy, lightly salted, and reminiscent of saltines. The filling is typically sweet and creamy (like the filling of an Oreo cookie). I grew up eating lemon sandwich crackers.
Available flavors: strawberry, lemon, and blueberry yogurt.
3.5 out of 5 stars.

Hong Qi Refreshing Lemon Yogurt Ice Cream Review
Fro-yo girl here. The boba ice cream bar trend is over, and 3D fruit shaped ice cream pops from China have taken over. It started with Propitious Peach and Mango ice cream. Refreshing Lemon Yogurt is a new flavor! I found it at H Mart in Arcadia, CA, for $9.99. Each box comes with three individually packaged 3D lemon yogurt pops/ice bars. Each bar is 3 fl oz. The bars are imported from Jilin City in China and manufactured by Dasenlin Foods Co.
Refreshing Lemon Yogurt Ice Cream: I love that this bar is made with real yogurt. It actually tastes more like yogurt than lemon. The yogurt ice cream is a bit tangy in flavor and firm, dense, and creamy in texture. It doesn’t melt quickly and isn’t as sweet as American ice cream bars. The yellow-green white chocolate coating is very thin and mild in flavor. It’s hard to tell that it’s a lemon-flavored product or does the lemon merely refer to the lemon shape? I do like it better than their other Summer Lemon flavor, because Refreshing Lemon tastes like yogurt. I didn't find it refreshing though. One bar is 170 calories, 10g total fat, 18g total carbs, 10g total sugars, and 2g protein.

Mogu Mogu Lychee Yogurt Flavored Ice Cream Ice Bar Review
Fro-yo girl here. I found a new froyo popsicle during a recent trip to H Mart in Arcadia, CA. It’s called Mogu Mogu (Gotta Chew) lychee yogurt ice cream. The bar was $1.79, sold as a single, and is imported from Korea. I didn’t see the bars sold as a box.
Mogu Mogu, which literally means Gotta Chew, is a line of fruit flavored drinks with nata de coco. The nata de coco is like a firm, chewy coconut jelly. Mogu Mogu drinks have become popular on Tik Tok and Instagram. People like to freeze Mogu Mogu to enjoy it as a slushie. Yogurt is one of the drink flavors.Lychee yogurt ice bar: The bar was a pretty pink color. The texture was firm and hard. I liked the bar at first. The lychee flavor was pleasant and not super strong. It was slightly tangy. But the bar had a soft white filling that was sweeter and had bits of nata de coco. I didn’t like the white filling. It did taste like lychee but in an artificial, candy-like way.
The lychee yogurt flavored ice bar is 2.7 fl oz. One bar is 140 calories, 3.5g total fat, 23g total sugars, and 26.9g total carbs. The main ingredients are water, syrup mix, and yogurt.

Shaomei Lemon & Mochi Frozen Dessert Bars Review
Shaomei describes Lemon & Mochi frozen dessert bars: “The double lemon taste of lemon ice cream and lemon curd bits are superimposed to create a delicate and slightly sour taste, intertwined with the crispy aroma of lemon biscuit bits and the elegant and slightly sweet taste of white chocolate crispy skin. You can chew the elastic white jade with every bite, perfectly presenting a delicate and delicious taste. An afternoon tea-style ice cream with a chewy taste.” Sounds really good, right?
Lemon & Mochi bar: As a lemon lover, I was very pleased with this bar. It’s excellent in flavor and texture. The thin white chocolate shell is sweet and crispy and it’s studded with crispy biscuit crumbs (the type of crumb that reminded me of Lotus speculoos cookies). I didn’t realize that the crumbs were from a lemon biscuit. I didn’t detect the lemon in the biscuits but that didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the bar. The interior is lemony yellow. It’s more tangy and sweet than it is sour. And it’s smooth and creamy. The mochi rice cakes are in the center of the bar (the ice cream part). They’re plain, soft, and chewy. The size is similar to the mochi you find at froyo shops.
One 70g bar is 190 calories, 11g total fat, 23g total carbs, 1g protein, and 18g total sugars. It has more sugar than their boba ice cream bars but because the lemon is tangy, it doesn’t seem as sweet.
This is the first time I’ve awarded five stars to a Shaomei bar. I hope to buy more boxes soon.

Coconut Jelly King Introduces Purple Rice Coconut Jelly
Fro-yo girl here. With Yomie’s Rice x Yogurt closing in Temple City, San Gabriel, and Chino, the remaining locations in Southern California are in Irvine and Rowland Heights. The Arcadia location rebranded and is now called Der Tea. The Temple City location is now called Zhen Tea. Der Tea and Zhen Tea still offer purple rice yogurt drinks. So, purple rice yogurt drinks are still available but harder to find in purple rice yogurt shops in Southern California. Purple rice is appearing other places, in drinks and desserts.
I was a fan of purple rice yogurt drinks but the last few times I went to Yomie’s, the purple rice did not seem fresh. It was harder and clumped together.
I spotted purple rice coconut jelly at Coconut King Jelly in Arcadia, inside the H Mart food court. One jar was $8.99. I’m quite fond of coconut jelly because it’s organic, all natural, and less processed. It’s also filling and good for breakfast, a snack, or dessert.
This was my first time trying purple rice with coconut jelly. Purple rice is naturally sweet and nutty. While I liked the combination, the rice was mushy and not chewy like it is when it’s fresh in a purple rice yogurt shake. With coconut jelly, it’s more like overnight oats.

Morinaga Odama Choco Ball Aloe Yogurt Candy Review
Fro-yo girl here. Japan sure comes out with a lot of yogurt flavored candies. I spotted Morinaga Odama Choco Ball Aloe Yogurt Chocolate at H Mart in Arcadia, CA. One 1.58 pouch was $2.99. The pouch is resealable and contains seven candies. The candies are imported from Japan.
Choco Ball – Aloe Yogurt: The ball looks like and reminds me of a malt ball only with a chewy gummy center. The ball tastes like sweet white chocolate with a chewy aloe yogurt center. The yellow gummy center is firm and does taste like aloe (more than it tastes like yogurt). It’s not bad but the combination is unusual, at least to me.
There are five servings per bag, so a serving must be fewer than two balls but more than one ball. One serving has 40 calories, 2g total fat, and 8g total sugar. One of the ingredients is yogurt powder.
You can buy them online a few places, including Japan Candy Store.

Kabaya Fruit Yogurt Ramune Ichigo & Ringo Candy Review
Fro-yo girl here. I spotted Kabaya Fruit Yogurt Ramune Ichigo & Ringo candy at H Mart in Arcadia. A bag is 1.79 oz (51g) and contains 15 individually wrapped candies. The yellow wrappers contain the apple candy and the red the strawberry candy. A bag was $3.99 at H Mart. The candy is a product of Japan.
The candies are small, white, round and have red flecks. The texture was firm and powdery. It melted quickly and was tangy and sweet. The apple flavor tasted more artificial than the strawberry and seemed sweeter too. The strawberry candy is made with Fukuoka Prefecture's Amaou strawberry. Pretty impressive. However, the candy was just okay for me (too powdery).
One serving is 25 calories, 0g fat, and 6g total sugars.

Haitai Black Sugar Bubble Tea Ice Cream Review
Fro-yo girl here. Haitai is a Korean brand whose products include black sugar bubble tea bars and scoopable ice cream. I haven’t seen their boba ice bars yet, but H Mart did have the scoopable version. The ice cream is imported from Korea. One 600ml tub was $5.99 regular price at H Mart in Arcadia, CA.
Black Sugar Bubble Tea Ice Cream: Unlike Little Jasmine’s boba ice cream, Haitai’s was infused with brown bubble syrup throughout. The ice cream was brown in color with a few streaks of black sugar. The bubbles were smaller, harder and not as chewy as Little Jasmine’s. Haitai’s ice cream also seemed a bit icier. But if you love brown sugar flavor, it has the most by far. And it smells very nice, like brown sugar. It’s made with black tea but the brown sugar flavor is much stronger than the tea flavor. One serving is 100ml, 125 calories, 3.5g total fat, 22g total carbs, 17g total sugars, and 2g protein.
3.5 out of 5 stars.
