Mogu Mogu Lychee Yogurt Flavored Ice Cream Ice Bar Review

Fro-yo girl here. I found a new froyo popsicle during a recent trip to H Mart in Arcadia, CA. It’s called Mogu Mogu (Gotta Chew) lychee yogurt ice cream. The bar was $1.79, sold as a single, and is imported from Korea. I didn’t see the bars sold as a box.

Mogu Mogu, which literally means Gotta Chew, is a line of fruit flavored drinks with nata de coco. The nata de coco is like a firm, chewy coconut jelly. Mogu Mogu drinks have become popular on Tik Tok and Instagram. People like to freeze Mogu Mogu to enjoy it as a slushie. Yogurt is one of the drink flavors.

Lychee yogurt ice bar: The bar was a pretty pink color. The texture was firm and hard. I liked the bar at first. The lychee flavor was pleasant and not super strong. It was slightly tangy. But the bar had a soft white filling that was sweeter and had bits of nata de coco. I didn’t like the white filling. It did taste like lychee but in an artificial, candy-like way.

The lychee yogurt flavored ice bar is 2.7 fl oz. One bar is 140 calories, 3.5g total fat, 23g total sugars, and 26.9g total carbs. The main ingredients are water, syrup mix, and yogurt.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

3 out of 5 stars.

Aldi Half-Dipped Mint Chip Yogurt Bars Review

Fro-yo girl here. Aldi just introduced Half Dipped Mint Chip Yogurt Bars (yes, there’s only one flavor). A box comes with four individually wrapped yogurt bars. A box is $3.69.

One bar is 2.65 fl oz and has 100 calories, 6g total fat, 15g total carbs, 9g total sugars, and 2g protein. It’s sweetened with allulose, sugar, tapioca syrup, cultured whey, erythritol, stevia, and monk fruit. Wow, that’s a lot of different sweeteners!

Half-Dipped Mint Chip Yogurt Bars: The mint froyo is white with little chocolate flecks. The chocolate shell is thin, sweet, and crispy. The shell was quite nice. The yogurt part is soft, creamy, and light, almost whipped in texture. It melts fast. The peppermint flavor is very strong and also slightly bitter. I like mint but I thought the mint flavor was too strong to the point of being harsh.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

3.5 out of 5 stars.

Halo Top Frozen Yogurt Pops Made with Skyr Review

Fro-yo girl here. I first heard about Halo Top’s Frozen Yogurt pops in March 2023, when they were launched. After checking many grocery stores, I concluded that the pops were not available in my area. Well, I finally found some at the newly relaunched Amazon Fresh in Pasadena, California. They had both flavors, Triple Berry and Strawberry. A box of four pops was $5.34, slightly less than the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $5.49. These pops are supposed to be better for you, an on-the-go nutritious snack.

I haven’t seen frozen skyr popsicles for sale in US grocery stores before. I’ve seen them for sale in other countries though. Halo Top’s frozen yogurt pops are made with creamy Icelandic skyr-style yogurt, crunchy granola, and real fruit. Each pop is 110 calories with 4g of protein. Available flavors: Triple Berry, Strawberry.

Triple Berry: The pop was creamy and not as dense and hard as other yogurt pops. The flavor was okay. It was very sweet. The berries were blended with the yogurt. There wasn’t much granola. The berry bits had some tang. There was a bitter aftertaste. One 64g pop is 110 calories, 3g total fat, 10mg cholesterol, 16g total carbohydrates, 15g total sugars, and 4g proteins. The pops are made with ultrafiltered milk, and sweetened with sugar, corn syrup, and molasses. Yasso pops taste better for sure.

3 out of 5 stars.

Crèmily French Frozen Yogurt Pops Review

Fro-yo girl here. I recently spotted Crèmily French Frozen Yogurt Pops at Grocery Outlet. One box, which contains four individually wrapped bars, was $2.99. I’ve seen the Crèmily frozen yogurt pints before at Vons, but this was my first time seeing the pops. The coated pops are 2.75 fl oz each and they are Keto friendly.

Crèmily is the world’s first Keto French frozen yogurt. It’s low carb, with no added sugar, and made with A2 milk. The froyo is high protein, high fat, gluten-free, and contains probiotics and prebiotics. It’s sweetened with erythritol, monk fruit and Stevia. The packaging says Crèmily’s founder is Kylie Schuyler and that Schuyler recruited “top chefs and nutritionists to merge traditional, artisanal French yogurt recipes with modern techniques and the highest quality ingredients.”

French vanilla pop: The coating is a thin chocolate shell. It has a bitterness that I associate with dark chocolate. The shell was brittle and had holes in it. It fell off easily. I did like the shell a lot, though I wish it didn’t fall off that easily. The vanilla frozen yogurt was mild, creamy, and sweet in a pleasant way…somewhat bland but still tasty. I thought the pop was better than the pint that I tried a few months ago. One pop is 160 calories, 15g total fat, 14g total carbs, 2g total sugars, and 3g protein.

Available pop flavors: French vanilla, Salted caramel, Chocolate, Peanut butter chocolate

The Crèmily Foundation programs empower girls globally. One hundred percent of Crèmily’s profits go to the charitable foundation.

4 out of 5 stars.

Jolly Llama Half-Dipped Yogurt Bars Review

Fro-yo girl here. Jolly Llama just introduced a line of new half dipped yogurt bars. I found them at Sprouts. Three flavors are exclusive to Sprouts: Cool Mint Chip, Chocolate Fudge, and Coffee Espresso. The yogurt bars are dairy-free and gluten-free, according to Sprouts. However, if you look at the box, it says it contains milk and is a dairy product. The bars are kosher.

A box of four bars was $4.99 on sale and $6.99 regular price. One yogurt bar is 2.65 fl oz. The bars contain probiotics.

Cool Mint Chip: Described as “white mint frozen yogurt with chocolaty flakes half-dipped in a chocolaty coating.” It tasted like peppermint. The mint flavor is very strong. It’s refreshing. The texture is softer than Yasso’s bars. The chocolatey coating was sweet, thin, and crispy. I thought the texture was a bit too soft but the flavor was better than I expected – if you like strong mint flavors. One bar is 100 calories with 6g total fat, 5g total carbs, 9g total sugars, and 2g of protein. It’s made with kefir yogurt and sweetened with allulose, stevia, and monk fruit.

Available flavors: Coffee Espresso, Lemon Cheesecake, Cool Mint Chip, Strawberry ‘N Cream, Chocolate Fudge

Jolly Llama’s other frozen treats are dairy-free and gluten-free. I tried their sorbet back in 2009.

4 out of 5 stars.

Papa Cristo’s Handmade Frozen Greek Yogurt Bars

Fro-yo girl here. I visited Papa Cristo’s a few years ago when they had homemade Greek yogurt but no froyo. They recently started making Greek froyo popsicles in flavors such as Sour Cherry, Fig Jam, Coconut, Strawberry/Pistachio, and Pecan. The popsicles are handmade. They’re $4.99 each.

The sticker on the popsicle says Nieves Xochi Oax but the ingredients say it’s made with Greek yogurt. The fruit is not blended thorough out the bar but they use chopped fruit pieces.

Pistachio froyo paleta: This was a big, thick popsicle/paleta. Pale green, it had pistachios towards the bottom. The texture was hard and icy but the yogurt added some creaminess. It was pretty sweet and not tangy. The pistachio flavor was pretty weak. I didn’t like it and didn’t actually finish it.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Momchilovtsi Yogurt Ice Cream Bars Review

Fro-yo girl here. I found new Momchilovtsi yogurt ice cream bars while shopping at 99 Ranch Market in Alhambra, CA. One box was $10.99 (regular price) and contains 4 popsicles. They’re the most expensive popsicles that 99 Ranch Market carries.

The bars come in two flavors, Original and Rose. I spotted the Original flavor at 99 Ranch Market in San Gabriel but when I went back the next Ttime, they didn’t have any.

Momchilovtsi is a Chinese brand and the yogurt bars are made in Shanghai by Bright Dairy’s subsidiary, Shanghai Yimin No 1 Food Co. The brand is named after a tiny Bulgarian village. drinks The Momchilovtsi yogurt brand was launched in 2009. In April 2019, Bright Dairy acquired Shanghai Yimin No 1 Food Factory; Yimin specializes in ice cream, confectionery products, and cold drinks. This led to the launch of Momchilovtsi yogurt ice cream bars.

Rose yogurt ice cream bar: Not only is each bar individually wrapped in plastic, but each bar comes in a separate box. The wooden popsicle stick is stamped with the Momchilovtsi name. The text on the box is in Chinese only. The bar was a pretty pale pink. The texture was very creamy and soft. I could taste the roses and cream much more than any yogurt flavors. It was sweet but not super sweet. There was a hint of yogurt flavor but no tang. It’s richer than Yasso. One bar is 120 calories, 4.5g total fat, 14g total carbs, 11g total sugars and 2g proteins.

As a yogurt lover, I prefer more tang and yogurt flavor but if you’re looking for a rich, creamy, mild yogurt ice cream bar, try Momchilovtsi.

4 out of 5 stars.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.
