Valentine’s Treat Cups at Target

Fro-yo girl here. I spotted these paper cups with multi-colored hearts at Target (10 cups for $2.50). They’re small but they’d be perfect for eating fro-yo at home or putting fro-yo toppings in for a make your own fro-yo treat party. I’m sure any fro-yo fan would love to have a fro-yo gift card from his/her favorite fro-yo shop and/or a pint of his/her favorite fro-yo for Valentine’s Day. I'd love to have a fro-yo pie or fro-yo cake.

Here are some romantic fro-yo creation ideas to try:
* Chocolate blackout: Chocolate fro-yo, brownies, chocolate syrup, chocolate sprinkles
* Chocolate hazelnut truffle: Chocolate hazelnut fro-yo, chopped hazelnuts, chocolate chips
* Hot fudge sundae: Vanilla fro-yo, hot fudge sauce, whipped cream, chopped peanuts, rainbow sprinkles, one maraschino cherry on top

Fro-yo Cups Spotted at Target

Fro-yo girl here. I’m always on the lookout for fro-yo and fro-yo related items when I’m out shopping. Target’s dollar section (the area at the front of the store) has some Thanksgiving themed paper cups that would be perfect for fro-yo. The cups have various designs including a turkey, overlapping circles pattern, orange cups and brown cups. The cups come in a pack of 10 and cost $1. Imagine filling them with Thanksgiving fro-yo or candy/treats for your Thanksgiving guests.

Yogurtland’s New Tagline, Cups & Flavors

Fro-yo girl here. It seems like something new is always happening at Yogurtland. They just introduced a new tagline “get real” that appears on store signage and new cups. There are four new cup designs on the way and each one features a different “get real” story, like how Yogurtland frozen yogurt is made with real California milk from happy cows.

New fro-yo flavors have also arrived: Blackberry Passion Fruit Tart and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut. Blackberry Passion Fruit tart is successful at capturing both flavors (a good balance). The passion fruit gives it an exotic taste. It’s quite tart. White Chocolate Macadamia Nut fro-yo with double roasted macadamia nuts is smooth, sweet and creamy. It tastes mostly of white chocolate with a hint of nuttiness. It’s better than TCBY’s version which tastes more like marshmallow than white chocolate. I think I missed seeing the new topping, white chocolate macadamia nut crunch.

My Fro-yo Cup Display Case

Fro-yo girl here. Along with my fro-yo art, I also have a fro-yo cup display case. Isn’t it cute? I’ve run out of space now that I have those new Yogurtland Sanrio cups. Now I need to find a display case for my fro-yo spoons.

Cutest Fro-yo Cups, My Top 3 Picks

Fro-yo girl here. Something about eating fro-yo out of a cute cup with an adorable spoon just makes it taste better. Having a nice looking swirl and neatly applied toppings also increase the appeal of a cup of fro-yo.

When it comes to cute fro-yo cups, the top honors go to Menchie's...followed by Yoppi Yogurt in the Bay Area. Third place goes to Eggettes/Rock It Swirl because they put the Eggettes character on the cup. The cutest fro-yo cups ever were the Tokidoki loves Yogurtland ones. As you can see, having cute characters on the cup seems to be the key to a cup that appeals to me.

Are there other cute fro-yo cups out there that you know about? I would love to see them. Send me your pics.

Custom Printed Fro-yo Cups

Fro-yo girl here. Fro-yo somehow tastes better when eaten out of a cute, branded cup and eaten with a nice spoon. The plain white cups are so boring. Printed logo cups are an easy, affordable way to build a shop’s brand and help the shop stand out from other fro-yo shops. Stickers are an option but they don’t look as nice especially if the sticker is crooked.

The two main suppliers of fro-yo cups (double poly paper hot/cold food containers) are Karat (www.lollicupstore.com) and CarryOutSupplies (www.carryoutsupplies.com). I’ve examined the Tuttimelon cup (manufactured and printed by Karat) and the cups for Icebee (APO brand, manufactured and printed by CarryOutSupplies). The Tuttimelon cup and Icebee cup have a similar weight and feel. I can’t spot any quality differences. The Yoppi cup Karat and APO cups are priced the same online.

CarryOutSupplies is willing to negotiate on prices and terms. Unlike other companies, they offer free storage so you don’t have to fill your garage with fro-yo cups. Shipping is free on all orders. Free custom printing is offered as well. They can provide custom molds.

I’ve eaten out of the APO cups many times (they supply Menchie’s, Yoppi Yogurt, Yogurt Passion, etc.). These are nice cups.

Special offer: Call Kirby at CarryOutSupplies at 626-262-6819 and tell them fro-yo girl sent you. You’ll receive a free case of colored spoons with your cup purchase. Contact Kirby for details.
