Edible Closes in Pasadena, CA, What Happened to the Frozen Yogurt

Fro-yo girl here. I visited Edible (formerly known as Edible Arrangements) in 2016 to try the new froyo fruit blends, which blended soft serve vanilla froyo with fresh fruit puree. It was truly terrible. It was the only time I visited the now closed Edible in Pasadena.

Interestingly, I found an article about Edible Arrangements where a former Edible franchisee said, “The worst product rollout he could recall was the launch of frozen yogurt treats, which he said came in 2016, along with a mandate that franchisees spend thousands of dollars on a specialized machine. “I think they rolled it out for maybe two months, and then they said, ‘We’re going to discontinue this. And so we’re like, ‘OK, well, is the manufacturer going to buy it back?’ They’re like, ‘No, but you could just sell it.’”

The company was sued by its franchisees in 2020. Accusations included “price-gouging franchisees, in part by requiring them to buy supplies from a series of companies that are all owned by Farid (the founder and CEO from 2018 - 2025).

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.
