Yogurtland Flavor Quest New Flavors: Orange Citrus Sorbet & Geneva Chocolate

Fro-yo girl here. The Yogurtland Flavor Quest takes you to two new flavor locales this week: Florida and Geneva, Switzerland. Both flavors are available while supplies last.

* Geneva Chocolate: “Inspired by the master chocolatiers of Switzerland, this flavor combines real cocoa and a hint of a delicate, light milk chocolate flavor wroth of its renowned namesake.” I’m not a chocolate froyo fan but I liked this flavor because it was so light and smooth, like Swiss milk chocolate.

* Orange Citrus Sorbet: “A flavor as bright as the Sunshine state itself, this flavor combines real Mandarin oranges, tangerines and clementines for a light, refreshing vitamin C-packed way to beat the heat.” I’m not a huge fan of sorbets because they tend to be pretty icy but this one wasn’t. It’s sweet and juicy - the flavor is more interesting and complex than straight orange

A new topping also arrived: chocolate covered almonds. They’re not the smooth ones I’m used to seeing.

Remember to pull out your Real Rewards app and collect stamps on your froyo passport. One visit equals one stamp and an entry for a chance to win a trip to Puerto Rico, a year of free froyo and Yogurtland gift cards. Limit one stamp and one sweepstakes entry per day. Five stamps earns you 5 free ounces and 10 stamps earns you 10 free ounces.

Two new froyo flavors come out on March 31: France Blackcurrant Berry Tart and Spain Flan.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

St. Patrick's Day Froyo 2014

Fro-yo girl here. It's become my annual tradition to create a cup of froyo inspired by St. Patrick's Day. The cup must feature green froyo.

Here’s my St. Patrick’s Day inspired cup of fro-yo: Lucky Irish Creme and the new Geneva Chocolate froyo with mini Hershey's Kisses, almonds, mochi, (new) chocolate covered almonds, graham cracker crust, praline macadamia nuts and a green spoon from Yogurtland.

I also recently created a St. Patrick's Day Froyo Pinterest board which I'll continue to update with St. Patrick's Day inspired froyo images. Enjoy!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Healthy Choice Frozen Yogurt Bars Review

Fro-yo girl here. I’ve tried Healthy Choice Greek Frozen Yogurt cups before but this was my first time trying their frozen yogurt bars. They come in two flavors: Strawberry and Pomegranate Blueberry. One box contains six 2.5 fl oz. bars. I found the Pomegranate Blueberry flavor at Grocery Outlet for $1.99.

One bar is 90 calories with 1g of fat. The box says the bars have natural flavors and are made with yogurt cultures. It is unclear whether the cultures are live or not (it doesn’t say that they’re live and active).

* Pomegranate blueberry bar: The best thing about the bar is the light, soft, creamy texture. The exterior has a very thin icy shell. The flavor was very sweet with little fruit flavor and no yogurt tang. The flavor tastes quite artificial (I thought that this was due to artificial sweetener but it’s not) probably due to the various gums they use and/or all the processing involved. The Healthy Choice Greek Frozen Yogurt cups taste better than their frozen yogurt bars.

Ingredients: nonfat milk, sugar, pomegranate blueberry flavor [sugar, water, blueberry puree, pomegranate juice concentrate, natural flavor, phosphoric acid, black carrot and black currant juice [for color], cellulose gum, ascorbic acid, green tea powder, corn syrup, cream, maltodextrin, contains 2% or less of: milk protein concentrate, lactic acid, mono- and diglycerides, guar gum, locust bean gum, cellulose gum, cornstarch, carrageenan, calcium carbonate, vitamin a palmitate, yogurt cultures.

2 out of 5 stars.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Dial Frozen Yogurt Body Wash Review

Fro-yo girl here. First Dial introduced Vanilla Honey yogurt body wash and recently they added Greek Yogurt and Frozen Yogurt Body Wash. Dial FroYo body wash comes in a 16 oz. white bottle with a picture of froyo and fruit on it. It says it was “inspired by delicious frozen yogurt. Fro Yo provides your skin with a cooling sensation and wraps it with yogurt proteins to leave it feeling smooth & healthy.”

I didn’t notice the cooling sensation except when I first applied it (it’s a mild sensation). I didn’t think it smelled like frozen yogurt, but it smells like a warm milk perfume with exotic fruity notes. It lathers up easily and does a nice job softening your skin.

I found Dial Frozen Yogurt Body Wash at Walgreen’s for $6.49. I haven't seen the Greek Yogurt body wash yet but it's much less interesting to me than FroYo body wash.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Yogurtland Flavor Quest Continues with New Flavors

Fro-yo girl here. My Monday visits to Yogurtland have become routine because that’s the day the new froyo flavors come out. Today, there were FOUR new flavors for the launch of the 2nd Annual Flavor Quest. The flavor quest promotion runs from March 3 through May 11.

  • Canada Maple Cookie: A blend of real Canadian maple and real cookies. This was sweet, creamy and indulgent. The maple flavor was there but subtle. I didn’t notice a cookie flavor.
  • Peru Passion Fruit Sorbet: I must not like passion fruit that much because this was my least favorite flavor, the flavor reminded me of pineapple because it’s sweet yet tangy
  • Thailand Coconut Mango Tart: An interesting flavor...the mango flavor is the strongest, it’s sweet and only slightly tart
  • Australia Macadamia Nut Toffee: The best new flavor with roasted Australian macadamia nuts, tastes like a mild caramel and the texture was smooth and creamy

I spotted a new topping: Praline Macadamia Nuts. They’re really good, not as hard as the praline pecans topping. You have to get these with the Macadamia Nut Toffee froyo.

Remember to collect stamps on your froyo passport (you need to have the Yogurtland Real Rewards app).

Look for six new froyo flavors and three new toppings. Two new froyo flavors come out on March 17: Orange Citrus Sorbet and Geneva Chocolate.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.
