New Menchie’s Plushie Doll
Fro-yo girl here. I was at Menchie’s looking at their merchandise and the new Menchie's plushie dolls ($12.99 each) looked back at me. They no longer come in a box. The new Menchie doll has green pants on, darker eyes, a longer, bigger torso and a narrower head. He no longer comes with a pink spoon and cup of froyo.
You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Yogurtland Fan Choice Awards Winner: Dragon Passion Fruit Tart Wins Best Tart
Fro-yo girl here. The votes have been tallied and Yogurtland fans have selected Dragon Passion Fruit Tart as the Best Tart froyo flavor. Dragon Passion Fruit Tart will be available at participating Yogurtland locations while supplies last, starting today.
A message from Dragon Passion Fruit Tart: “A magical mix, everything truly came together to make this tart. A big thank-you to dragon fruit, passion fruit and strawberry for working together on my one-of-a-kind, light refreshing flavor.”
Great choice, Yogurtland fans! It’s really hard to find a good, natural tasting strawberry tart froyo and DPFT delivers so much strawberry flavor, followed up by passion fruit. I recommend fresh strawberries as a topping. It will bring out the strawberry flavor of the froyo.
Congrats to Dragon Passion Fruit Tart!
You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Two New Froyo Flavors from Pinkberry: Tangerine & Vanilla Bean
Tangerine Pinkberry launched on Jan. 3 but only became available in San Francisco on Jan. 10 (sad face). Vanilla Bean Pinkberry arrived on time on Jan. 3. There weren’t any new toppings, not even the hand cut tangerine pieces (though those will be coming soon). They didn’t have new flavor signs either. Last year they introduced Grapefruit Pinkberry to ring in the new year.
* Tangerine Pinkberry: Tangerines are sweeter than large oranges. And Pinkberry Tangerine, while fairly tangy, also has a very sweet aftertaste. I could taste plenty of tangerine but I could not taste the yogurt flavor. I wish this froyo flavor weren’t so sweet. It reminded me of Tang and powdered drinks. Not a fan. Blood Orange Pinkberry is a better flavor.
* Vanilla Bean Pinkberry: I liked it better than the tangerine though I also thought it was toooo sweet. At least it had a mild yogurt flavor and visible vanilla bean specks. It is lighter in texture than soft serve ice cream and not as creamy as some other soft serve vanilla frozen yogurts that I’ve tried. It was good but didn’t wow me.
I’ve included the official Pinkberry new flavor announcement press release below.

PINKBERRY STARTS THE NEW YEAR IN “GOOD TASTE”:
NEW TANGERINE AND VANILLA BEAN ADDED TO THE LINEUP OF TASTES WORTH OBSESSING OVER FROM PINKBERRY
LOS ANGELES (January 9, 2014) – Known for its light, refreshing frozen yogurt and signature toppings, Pinkberry is introducing two nonfat frozen yogurt flavors that are guaranteed to start the New Year off right. Now available are Tangerine Pinkberry and Vanilla Bean Pinkberry which launched on January 3rd in Pinkberry stores nationwide for a limited time only.
Tangerine Pinkberry is the New Year's freshest flavor with a citrus aroma and a sweet juicy finish just like a freshly picked and perfectly ripe tangerine. Pinkberry suggests topping it with fresh, hand-cut tangerine pieces, toasted almonds and a bit of honey for a simple and delicious burst of flavor.
In addition Pinkberry is launching their first signature Vanilla Bean Pinkberry. “It’s a perfected twist on a classic,” said Laura Jakobsen, SVP of Marketing and Design at Pinkberry. “It offers just the right balance of sweetness and subtle vanilla notes from real Madagascar Vanilla.”
This month Pinkberry is also launching two new featured Frozen Yogurt Smoothies - Cookies and Cream and Strawberry Cream. Both are blended with the new nonfat Vanilla Bean Pinkberry for a delicious, better for you alternative to a classic milkshake.
Pinkberry is focused on creating tastes worth obsessing over and asks its fans to join the obsession via the brand’s Facebook and Instagram pages to discover topping combinations, get news and offers as well as share their favorites using the hashtag #Pinkberryobsession.

Froyo Wish List for 2014
- Froyo pie or cake. I want one! It seems like you can’t get just one slice unfortunately.
- Expanded distribution for Yolato frozen yogurt gelato bars. My fingers are crossed that I’ll see them in California
- Froyo made out of Icelandic yogurt (aka skyr). I love skyr (Siggi’s and Smari)...would love to see it used to make froyo.
- Froyo spoons. I can never get enough of cute froyo spoons.
- Collect more new froyo spoons (accomplished)
- Try Yolato frozen yogurt gelato bars and Pinkberry Greek (accomplished)
- Be served by Frobot rather than a human being (didn't happen)
You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

The new signs are up and they look quite glamorous. Each flavor comes with an acceptance speech (cute).
A message from Birthday Cupcake Batter: “You like me, you really like me! I’d like to thank all the fan for helping me keep the celebration alive with my sweet, buttery-smooth, yellow-cupcake-batter flavor! For all the real flavors out there, culinary dreams do come true.”
A message from Carrot Cake: “It’s not easy being new. Thank you all so much for recognizing my fresh-from-the-bakery deliciousness. I couldn’t have done it without real carrots, hand-selected spices, and real cream cheese frosting.” I don’t like carrot cake but I do like carrot cake froyo, it’s indulgent and spicy, but not as heavy as the real thing.
