World Smile Day, New Spoon, and New Flavor at Menchie’s

Fro-yo girl here. Menchie’s celebrated World Smile Day on October 7 with double points when you scanned your Menchie’s app. They also brought back Harvest Pumpkin froyo and introduced a new flavor, Peanut Butter Cookie froyo.

Peanut Butter Cookie froyo:
I was excited since I love peanut butter cookies. Menchie’s says, “This sweet NEW flavor is rich, creamy, and made with real peanut butter cookies! Swirl this froyo in your cup guilt free because it’s made with no artificial colors, no artificial flavors, and no high-fructose corn syrup!” Peanut Butter Cookies froyo is lowfat. I didn’t see the cookie bits but I was able to compare Peanut Butter Cookies froyo with Menchie’s Creamy Peanut Butter froyo. Peanut Butter Cookies froyo is sweeter and the pb flavor isn’t as strong as Menchie’s Creamy Peanut Butter froyo. Both are good! Recommended toppings: peanut butter sauce, Nutter Butter, Butterfinger, peanuts, Peanut M&Ms, Reese’s Pieces. Love peanut butter!

Back in 2018, Menchie’s introduced Peanut butter cookie made with Nutter Butter cookie pieces froyo. This time there is no mention of Nutter Butter, so I guess it’s different.

Also, there’s a NEW SPOON. The collectible Mellow spoon is a light grey color. Mellow is holding a book. On the spoon handle, it says Hooked on Books & Froyo. On the back of the spoon, you can see Mellow’s backside. The spoon is available for a limited time only and same with the featured froyo flavors.

FYI, Harvest Pumpkin froyo is made with real pumpkin, cinnamon, and ginger.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Menchie’s World Smile Day, October’s Feature Flavors, Halloween Spoons

Fro-yo girl here. World Smile Day was created by Harvey Ball, the commercial artist who created the smiley face, and it’s been celebrated since 1999. His idea was that each of us should devote one day a year to smiles and kind acts.

Menchie’s celebrated World Smile Day today, October 5, with a special buy one, get one free offer from 4 PM – 7 PM. I have to say I left Menchie’s disappointed, yet again.

I was expecting to fill my cup with October’s feature flavors, Harvest Pumpkin (a fall favorite), Caramel Frappe, and Vanilla Latte. All the flavors are returning flavors, probably chosen because they’re fall like and complementary. Mmm, Vanilla Latte + Harvest Pumpkin = Pumpkin Spice Latte? I’ve tried them all before and liked them. Well, the Menchie’s I went to did not have any of the three flavors. The flavors they had were the same old boring standard flavors. Vanilla Snow was so icy today.

Menchie’s Halloween limited edition COLOR CHANGING spoons are back. There are four different spoons – Menchie the Wizard and Menchie the Rock Star. Both are available in pink and blue. The Menchie’s I went to ran out of color changing spoons.

Also, one machine was out of order/down again. At least one machine is always unavailable when I go. This has been going on for months. Maybe that machine is broken but it’s been MONTHS. MONTHS. I wish I could tell Menchie or someone who cares.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

World Smile Day Party at Menchie’s

Fro-yo girl here. Did you know there was a World Smile Day? World Smile Day is celebrated on the first Friday of October (today). World Smile Day was created by Harvey Ball, the commercial artist who created the smiley face, and it’s been celebrated since 1999. His idea was that each of us should devote one day a year to smiles and kind acts.

And what does this have to do with frozen yogurt? Well, Menchie’s, is celebrating the idea behind World Smile Day this year with the Month of Smiles celebration. On World Smile Day, October 7, 2016, Menchie’s locations (including international locations) held a World Smile Day Party from 4-7 PM. During the party, guests enjoyed buy one, get one free froyo, along with fun activities and prizes. Unfortunately, Hurricane Matthew led to the cancellation of the World Smile Day Party at some Menchie’s locations in the Southeast.

I picked up my buy one, get one free froyo and saw the poster for Menchie’s spooky spoons. The spooky spoons weren’t available yet but I did get one of the Smile It Forward cards. The card encourages you to spread smiles. Guests who share their stories about how they spread smiles on social media using #spreadingsmiles have a chance to win prizes like free frozen yogurt for a year and Menchie’s gift cards.

Froyo makes me smile. Thanks, Menchie’s!

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.
