Nature Republic Greek Yogurt Packs

Fro-yo girl here. I’ve been a longtime fan of Korres Yoghurt skincare line and I was excited to find another Greek yogurt product at Nature Republic. Nature Republic is a South Korean cosmetics company with retail locations in Asia and the US.

I spotted three types of yogurt packs: Blueberry for skin elasticity, Orange for skin brightening and Plain for nourishing. Plain smelled the best (like apricot).

The plain yogurt pack is meant to be applied at night as a sleeping mask. It gets absorbed into your skin so there’s no need to rinse it off. You can also use the product in the day as a nourishing cream. You’re supposed to apply a generous amount but I didn’t want to get it on my pillow.

The plain yogurt pack looks like yogurt (white) and it’s thick and creamy like Greek yogurt. Yogurt is good for moisturizing and soothing your skin. I put some on my dry skin and it felt instantly soothed. Every time I wake up after using the pack, my skin feels soft.

Nature Republic’s yogurt pack is made with shea butter, jojoba seed oil, lactobacillus ferment, lactococcus ferment lysate, streptococcus thermophilus ferment, yogurt extract, etc. It’s made in Korea. One tub is 4.39 fl oz and sells for $12.90. It looks like a cup of yogurt and comes with a spatula.

Fro-yo Girl Holiday Wrapup

Fro-yo girl here. Did you receive fro-yo gifts under your Christmas tree? Santa (and others) gave me Korres Yoghurt body butter, Meiji yogurt caramels (my favorite yogurt candy), a Cuisinart automatic frozen yogurt maker, and Jeni’s splendid ice creams at home cookbook.

Yes, I’ve been busy making fro-yo at home for the first time. It’s surprisingly easy to make good tart fro-yo at home. I’ll be tweaking the recipe and trying new things. Of course I will still be visiting fro-yo shops.

Jeni’s cookbook has recipes for many creative ice cream and fro-yo flavors. Fro-yo recipes included: lemon & blueberry, passionfruit, baked rhubarb, lime cardamom, grapefruit hibiscus, cucumber cayenne & honeydew.

Menchie’s had some special holiday items for sale, including silver chocolate coins for Hannukah, embossed with images of Menchie and a cup of fro-yo. Yum.

I decorated a Really Big Gingerbread Man from Trader Joe’s. Guess what? He likes fro-yo.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Mother's Day Fro-yo/Yogurt Gift Ideas

Fro-yo girl here. Mother's Day is this Sunday, May 8th and I have some gift ideas for mom, organized by your giving style.

* Financially challenged: TCBY is generously giving away free fro-yo to moms again this year on Mother's Day. Visit the store locator to find the location near you.
* Artistic or really young: Love's Yogurt in the Chicago area has a cute joint promo with FiredWorks. When you paint a ceramic waffle cone at FiredWorks, Love's will fill it with free fro-yo. You can paint a fro-yo bowl for mom at a ceramics place. Remember you have to factor in the time it takes for them to glaze and fire your piece.

* Your mom loves to share: Get a fro-yo pie or a couple of quarts of fro-yo and you can share her fro-yo.
* You'd like to pamper your mom: I'm a long time fan of Korres, a Greek company that makes all natural skin care, hair care, lotions, and cosmetics. And I like that it's a Greek company that has a line of yogurt skin care products. I use Korres Yoghurt moisturizing cream. It smells good, like yogurt. Get the Yoghurt Regiment Kit ($45) or individual products at Sephora.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.
