Happy Froyo Easter 2017

Fro-yo girl here. Happy Easter fro-yo fans! Remember last Easter when Menchie’s partnered with PEEPS and introduced PEEPS® flavored frozen yogurt? Easter seems like it will be more subdued this year; so far, I haven’t seen any new Easter inspired froyo flavors announced.

Are you celebrating Easter with fro-yo? Easter is one of my favorite holidays as it’s a time for egg hunts and Easter candy. My favorite Easter candies would also pair well with fro-yo.

PEEPS has tons of new flavors, including a few that are Target exclusives. The new PEEPS Delights line features flavored marshmallows dipped in chocolate. Marshmallow flavors include raspberry, blueberry, coconut, lemon, orange, etc.

Cadbury Mini Eggs, my personal favorite Easter candy, are now available in Chocolate Crunch & Crème. I haven’t tried them yet but I’ll have some on Easter.

Pepperidge Farm came out with Vanilla Cupcake Goldfish Grahams years ago, but I only tried them recently. They’re better than I expected. I love graham crackers. The Vanilla Cupcake ones have that graham cracker flavor, plus a subtle vanilla cake flavor. They’re not crazy sweet but they are very crunchy and would be great as a topping for sweet froyo. I rarely see Goldfish offered as a froyo topping, which is a shame. I’m not saying that they’re better than Teddy Grahams though.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Happy Easter Fro-yo Style

Fro-yo girl here. Happy Easter fro-yo fans! Are you celebrating Easter with fro-yo? Easter is one of my favorite holidays as it’s a time for dyed eggs and Easter candy. My favorite Easter candies would also pair well with fro-yo.

1. Cadbury Mini Eggs: I look forward to their return every year. Love that crisp thin sugar shell and the chocolate center. These are so good with vanilla, mint, and chocolate fro-yo. They’re kinda like chocolate chips but better.
2. Whoppers Robin Eggs: My second favorite Easter candy has a satisfying light crunchy malted center and thick chocolate coating. Sure Whoppers are available year round but they’re prettiest this time of year in robin eggs form.

Honey Hill Farms introduced Malted Candy Easter Egg fro-yo this year, in time for Easter. I haven’t found it in my area yet but hope to try it one day.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Campino Yogurt Candy Review

Fro-yo girl. Halloween is just around the corner and candy is on my mind...yogurt candy. Campino Yogourt Gummies and Yogourt & Fruit hard candies by Storck, are made in Germany and sold in Canada. Both candies are made with real yogurt.

* Yogourt Gummies come in five flavors: Cherry, Peach, Raspberry, Lemon & Strawberry. The bag has all five flavors. The soft, fluffy gummies have a swirl shape (reminiscent of a swirl of fro-yo) and swirl of color, white and the fruit color. The gummies are firm and have a spongy marshmallow like quality. The candies are quite tart and sour and they taste a bit different than the usual gummy candy (somewhat milky/yogurty). They are flavored with fruit juice. Cherry is my favorite flavor. Raspberry doesn’t taste raspberry enough. I find the spongy quality somewhat odd and unappealing. 3.5 out of 5 stars.

* Yogourt & Fruit hard candies come in three flavors: peach, Strawberry and Cherry. Each candy is individually wrapped. The yogurt flavor is stronger/more pronounced than in the Yogourt Gummies. The candy is firm and smooth, like a butterscotch candy, with a swirled color (white & the fruit flavor). I tasted the yogurt flavor first, then the fruit. The hard candies are not as sour or tart as the gummies but have a creamier, smoother, more natural taste. 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Bags of Campino are $2.99 (Canadian) at Shoppers Drug Mart. They also have Cadbury Mini Eggs YEAR-ROUND.
