Fro-yo girl here. Alden’s Organic Greek Yogurt Bars were marked with a New For You sign at Sprouts in Eagle Rock (Los Angeles). One box contains four individually wrapped bars. Each bar is 2.5 fl oz. A box was $5.99 on sale and $7.99 regular price.
For some reason, the new bars are not listed on the Alden’s Ice Cream website. I also could not find a press release about the new bars. Sprouts had two flavors: Mint Fudge Twist, Chocolate Fudge Twist.Mint Fudge Twist bars are made with real organic fudge and organic Greek yogurt. They’re non-GMO, gluten-free, and free of high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, artificial flavoring, artificial coloring, carrageenan, and antibiotics. And they contain live & active probiotic cultures. The bar looked like a Yasso bar, with the fudge swirled into the mint yogurt. The texture was close to ideal: creamy, smooth, and soft. The bar did not taste like yogurt but it had a nice, refreshing mint flavor. It wasn’t crazy sweet and the fudge was nice – you could taste it and the flavor wasn’t overwhelming. I couldn’t taste the monk fruit. It was masked by the other flavors.
One bar is 90 calories with 3g total fat, 14g total carbs, 11g total sugars, and 2g protein.
Update: The press release came out. The available flavors are:
- Mango Twist
- Chocolate Fudge Twist
- Mint Fudge Twist
- Espresso Twist
- Salted Caramel Twist
- Strawberry Twist
You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.
