Go Greek Yogurt 1st Anniversary

Fro-yo girl here. Guess what I had for lunch today? A cup of LA’s best frozen yogurt from Go Greek Yogurt.

They just started celebrating their 1st anniversary today and I snagged my 20% off discount card. On Saturday and Sunday enjoy free Greek coffee or tea with purchase.

If you love creamy, thick, rich frozen yogurt, you need to try Go Greek. Their imported triple strained Greek yogurt is all natural and has that natural yogurt tang. Yes the frozen yogurt is made with imported Greek yogurt.

Sadly, I just missed trying the rose froyo flavor, but I still love the honey flavor. Honey and yogurt just taste so right together.

Open Nature Greek Frozen Yogurt Review

Fro-yo girl here. While looking for Ben & Jerry’s Greek Fro-yo at Safeway, I noticed Open Nature Greek Frozen Yogurt. Open Nature is a Safeway line of 100% natural products. Open Nature Greek frozen yogurt is available in three flavors: Vanilla, Strawberry and Honey. The fro-yo is made with live and active cultures and has more protein than your average frozen yogurt.

* HONEY GREEK FROZEN YOGURT: Visually, it looked appealing. It’s white with no honey swirls. The frozen yogurt scoops easily, like ice cream. It’s thick and creamy. While I found it too sweet, I did like how it was rich, smooth and had real yogurt flavor. The honey flavor is very pronounced. It tastes good but it needs something to reduce the sweetness, maybe some roasted almonds and lightly sweetened crunchy cereal or granola.

A quart of Open Nature Greek frozen yogurt was $3.99 on sale, $5.49 regular price.

4 out of 5 stars

Stonyfield Oikos Frozen Greek Yogurt Review

Fro-yo girl. I found Stonyfield Oikos Frozen Greek Yogurt on a recent trip to Whole Foods. Whole Foods on California carried 3 of the 4 flavors: Honey, Blueberry, Vanilla. Chocolate was missing. A pint was $4.99 (regular price). The fro-yo is non-fat and organic.

* Oikos frozen Greek yogurt, honey flavor: it was easily scoopable with ice cream like texture, soft and creamy, the flavor was sweet. The fro-yo was not tangy and did not have a refreshing edge. There was a visible small swirl of honey. The fro-yo lacked flavor and had an unpleasant, weird aftertaste. Maybe I didn’t like the honey they used and how it seemed more like ice cream than fro-yo. I’ve had honey flavored fro-yo that I liked from Yogurtland (honeycomb tart) and I love yogurt with honey, but I didn’t like Oikos honey fro-yo.

3 out of 5 stars.
