Menchie’s March Flavors & a New Collectible Spoon

Fro-yo girl here. Menchie’s just introduced the first new spoon of the year, a pink Sprinkle spoon. Sprinkle is holding a cup of Menchie’s froyo with extra sprinkles. You can even see Menchie’s head on the cup. The spoon says swirl.smile.repeat. The back of the spoon features the back of Sprinkle. These are nice big spoons. Get them before they run out.

Menchie’s featured flavors for March are Vegan Mint Chocolate Chip made with Almond Milk and the new HI-CHEW Grapefruit froyo.

HI-CHEW Grapefruit is a new froyo flavor inspired by HI-CHEW Grapefruit candy. It did taste like grapefruit but sweet like candy. Something about it tasted medicinal though. The texture was very icy, like a sorbet. The nonfat flavor is made with no artificial colors and no high fructose corn syrup. You can find HI-CHEW Grapefruit in the HI-CHEW Sweet & Sour Mix.

Vegan Mint Chocolate Chip made with Almond Milk is back for March. It’s made with no artificial flavors, artificial colors, and no high fructose corn syrup. It was creamy and thick. The mint flavor wasn’t strong.

These flavors will be available in March, while supplies last.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Menchie’s New May Promotions & New Flavor: Vegan Oatly Vanilla

Fro-yo girl here. This May, Menchie’s is bringing back the Cake My Day spoon and based on popular demand, Peppa Pig Cotton Candy froyo. There’s also a brand new flavor, Vegan Oatly Vanilla. And you can order custom froyo cakes for Mother’s Day.

Vegan Oatly Vanilla soft serve: If you’re into a thick, smooth, creamy texture, Vegan Oatly Vanilla soft serve delivers on all counts. It doesn’t taste like vanilla ice cream or froyo but has a slightly oaty flavor. The vanilla flavor is very mild, more so than with your typical vanilla ice cream or froyo. It’s rich and satisfying though the flavor is milder than vanilla froyo. It's a little sweeter than usual. Recommended toppings: Granola, nuts, cinnamon.

Vegan Oatly Vanilla soft serve is made with Oatly oat milk and is 100% plant-based. It’s made with no artificial colors or artificial flavors. The soft serve is also gluten-free and contains no high fructose corn syrup. It isn’t froyo and has no live and active cultures.

16 Handles made news by partnering with Oatly to launch multiple plant-based oat milk soft serve flavors. The first ones were introduced in 2020 and they’re still bringing out new flavors. The Menchie’s partnership is the second large froyo chain that Oatly has partnered with.

New Menchie’s Flavor, Vegan Sweet Juicy Peach Sorbet

Fro-yo girl here. April’s featured flavors Menchie’s are Just the Cookie, a returning flavor, and new Vegan Sweet Juicy Peach Sorbet. I had a hard time finding Vegan Sweet Juicy Peach Sorbet but luckily, Menchie’s Sherman Oaks had some.

Menchie’s calls Vegan Sweet Juicy Peach Sorbet “the perfect sweet treat for Spring.” It’s made with no artificial colors or flavors and is gluten-free, nonfat, and contains no high fructose corn syrup. It’s made with real peaches.

Vegan Sweet Juicy Peach Sorbet: It’s one of their better sorbets but it’s sweeter than real peaches; real peaches taste better than the sorbet. The texture was smooth and seemed less icy than some of their other sorbets. It even had some tang which made it more interesting and appealing. Recommended toppings: Golden Oreos, waffle chips, and whipped cream.

Just the Cookie frozen yogurt has come back a few times. It’s made with Oreos.

Featured flavors are available for a limited time, while supplies last.

New Menchie’s Flavors: Peanut Butter Cracker froyo made with Ritz, Vegan Blue Raspberry Ice Pop Sorbet & A New Boss Baby Cup Design

Fro-yo girl here. Lots of new things going on at Menchie’s this month. First, they have a new limited edition cup design for the 2021 DreamWorks animated movie, The Boss Baby: Family Business. It’s being released on DVD and Blu-Ray on September 17. The cup is black and has an image of the Boss Baby.

There are two new flavors as well: Peanut Butter Cracker made with Ritz and Vegan Blue Raspberry Ice Pop Sorbet.

Peanut Butter Cracker froyo made with Ritz: This is a nonfat flavor that’s made with no artificial colors or artificial flavors. It contains real peanut butter and real Ritz crackers. I couldn’t really taste the Ritz crackers. Peanut Butter Cracker tasted like their other PB flavor, Creamy Peanut Butter but maybe slightly less peanutty? Hard to say. Menchie’s describes Peanut Butter Cracker froyo as, “We love our after-school snacks and our newest flavor has the perfect twist! We’ve taken rich peanut butter froyo and mixed it with buttery Ritz Crackers for a tasty mix of both sweet and salty!” Recommended toppings: Nilla Wafers, Nutter Butters, Reese’s peanut butter sauce, peanuts

Vegan Blue Raspberry Ice Pop Sorbet: I’m still not into the sorbets. Blue Raspberry Ice Pop reminds me of a Blue Raspberry Icee/Slurpee but less flavorful. It tastes like candy to me. The color is very blue. It’s nonfat, gluten free and made with no high fructose corn syrup. Menchie’s describes Vegan Blue Raspberry Ice Pop Sorbet as a “nonfat, sweet, tangy, and a delicious way to beat the heat.” Recommended toppings: Skittles, Sour Patch Kids

Menchie’s Featured Flavors for June: Blood Orange Sorbet and Vegan Mixed Berry Made with Oat Milk

Fro-yo girl here. Plant-based continues to be big news in the froyo world and this month, Menchie’s has two new vegan, plant-based flavors. First, Menchie’s new Vegan Mixed Berry made with Oat Milk is their first flavor made with oat milk. They describe the flavor as featuring “ripe strawberries and juicy blueberries” and it contains no artificial flavors, no artificial colors and no high fructose corn syrup.

The second featured flavor is the new Blood Orange Sorbet is vegan and made with no artificial flavors, no artificial colors and no high fructose corn syrup.

The Menchie’s location that I visited had the two new flavors and new spoons but no official new flavor signs or flavor posters.

Vegan Mixed Berry: This was thicker and creamier than the Blood Orange Sorbet. I could taste the berry flavors but it didn’t taste like a berry froyo made with dairy. The aftertaste was slightly bitter and there was no tang. It was okay but vegans may like the creamy texture. Recommended toppings: Fresh fruit and granola. I could see this flavor being used in a smoothie bowl.

Blood Orange Sorbet: A pretty red orange color, blood orange sorbet had a icy, loose texture that melted quickly. It tasted different than oranges, sweeter and different – more berry like, maybe. It’s hard to describe. It was a bit too sweet for me. Recommended toppings: Fresh fruit, popping boba.

The theme for this month’s flavors is fresh, light, and plant-based.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

New Featured Flavor at Menchie’s, Vegan Strawberry Sorbet

Fro-yo girl here. Menchie’s featured flavor of the month for April is a new one, Vegan Strawberry Sorbet. Made with real strawberries, the new flavor is gluten-free, dairy-free, and is made with no high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors or artificial flavors.

Wait, didn’t Menchie’s have a strawberry sorbet flavor before?? Kinda. They’ve had Strawberry smoothie sorbet, Strawberry kiwi twist sorbet, and Freshly squeezed strawberry lemonade sorbet.

I found Vegan Strawberry Sorbet at the newly remodeled Menchie’s in Burbank. It’s still full service there.

Vegan Strawberry Sorbet: It was smooth and not overly icy. While I could taste strawberries, the flavor seemed bland, like they used strawberries that didn’t have a strong enough flavor or not enough strawberries? Not terrible though. Recommended toppings: Popping boba, fresh fruit.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.
