December at Menchie’s

Fro-yo girl here. It’s a new month, which means new promotions at Menchie’s. This month, two fan-favorite holiday froyo flavors are back, the gift card promotion has returned, and two Double Smiles days have been announced. Also, Menchie’s holiday froyo cakes are back and are perfect for your holiday festivities.

Dark Chocolate Candy froyo made with Dove Chocolate: This flavor was first introduced in May 2023. It is gluten-free and lowfat. It’s made with no artificial flavors or artificial colors and contains no high fructose corn syrup. I didn’t think it tasted distinctive enough (i.e., a lot of chocolate froyo flavors taste the same). Recommended toppings: Special Dark chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and chocolate shell.

Spiced Gingerbread Cookie froyo was first introduced in November 2016. It tastes more like gingerbread spices (cinnamon, ginger) than gingerbread cookies. Made with real molasses, graham cracker crumbs, and ginger, SGC is lowfat and contains no high fructose corn syrup or artificial colors. Recommended toppings: almonds, chocolate shell, brownies.

The holiday gift card promotion is back. Get a free $5 bonus card when you buy $25 in Menchie’s gift cards. Gift cards make perfect gifts and stocking stuffers.

Save the date for the Double Smiles Days on Tuesday, 12/10 and Wednesday, 12/11. Menchie’s guests earn double points on Double Smiles Days when they scan the Menchie’s app at the register.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Menchie’s Mid-November Flavor Change

Fro-yo girl here. Happy mid-November! It’s time for the continuation of Menchie’s holiday promotion, with two feature flavors. Both are returning frozen yogurt flavors.

* Double Espresso Tiramisu: This lowfat frozen yogurt is made with real cookies, mascarpone, and cocoa. It’s a good flavor - not super strong coffee/espresso but sweeter and more indulgent because of the mascarpone. Recommended toppings: Nilla wafers, almonds, chocolate chips, Cool Whip

* Spiced Gingerbread Cookie: This lowfat flavor tastes more like gingerbread spices than gingerbread cookies. It's a bit powdery tasting, so I'm not a fan. The spices like ginger and cinnamon are definitely noticeable but not overpowering. Recommended toppings: almonds, Heath, Magic Shell and brownies.

I haven’t seen any holiday spoons, cups, or gift cards. Hmm…

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Menchie’s Holiday Flavors, Limited Time Flavors Available in December

Fro-yo girl here. Happy December! It’s also time for December’s featured holiday flavors at Menchie’s. They are (with scheduled launch dates):
  • Spiced Gingerbread Cookie (December 1): I’ve had this flavor before, last December and December 2015 as well. I think it tastes like it did before – more like gingerbread spices (cinnamon, ginger) than gingerbread cookies. The texture was smooth and creamy. Recommended toppings: almonds, chocolate shell, brownies
  • Sea Salt Caramel Latte (December 16)
  • Mookie’s Cookies ‘n’ Cream made with Golden Oreo cookie pieces (December 1 – available all month)

For some reason, it’s rare for the Menchie’s locations in my area to actually have the new flavors on time. I still haven’t found Mookie’s Cookies ‘n’ Cream, even though it’s supposed to be available all month (December) and I really want to try it.

I didn't see any holiday spoons.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Menchie’s Holiday Dessert Fair Returns with New Flavors, Part II

Fro-yo girl here. It hasn’t been easy to find the new November holiday flavors at Menchie’s even though November is almost over. Menchie’s South Pasadena rarely answers the phone and no Menchie’s in the area posts flavor updates. If I want to find the new flavors, I can usually rely on Menchie’s Huntington Oaks in Monrovia.

I finally found Spiced Gingerbread Cookie and Dark Chocolate Mousse made with almond milk.

* Dark Chocolate Mousse made with almond milk: This flavor is dairy-free (vegan). I really like almond milk and it works well here. It mutes the chocolate and gives it a slightly nutty flavor. The texture was quite creamy. Recommended toppings: Cool Whip, Ande’s Mints, Oreos

* Spiced Gingerbread Cookie: This lowfat flavor tastes more like gingerbread spices than gingerbread cookies. The spices like ginger and cinnamon are definitely noticeable but not overpowering. Recommended toppings: almonds, Heath, Magic Shell and brownies.

It looks like the December flavors won’t be arriving on December 1.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.
