New Froyo Squishmallow, Angelica

Fro-yo girl here. On February 6, National Frozen Yogurt Day, I received a package in the mail. Inside was Angelica, a new froyo Squishmallow from the Scented Parfume Mystery Squad. Squismallows Mystery Squad is a blind bag (i.e., you don’t know which plush toy you are going to get until you open it) that comes in 5” and 8” plush sizes. And they’re scented. Angelica smells like strawberries. She’s pink with sprinkles, a strawberry, a blueberry, and a spoon. Her squishdate is 7/13/2023.

Squishmallow launched in 2017 and they’ve been releasing Mystery Squad toys since 2020. They’re released as a series, with different squad members in each series. Each one has a birthdate, name, and story (just like Beanie Babies).

Angelica was part of the 2024 dessert squad which had 6 types of plush toys and was released in January 2024. I spotted the Mystery Dessert Squad bags at Target in Pasadena, California, for $8.99 each. Pro-tip: there are holes in the bottom of the package, so you can smell the toy and see the color.

You can also buy Mystery Dessert Squad bags online on ToyWiz and other sites.

Angelica’s already been asking me to take her to all the best froyo spots. Expect to see her around soon.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Barbie’s Malibu Ave. Frozen Yogurt Kiosk

Fro-yo girl here. Barbie doesn’t own a frozen yogurt shop (yet) but she does go out for froyo with her sisters and friends. The frozen yogurt shop is part of Malibu Ave.™, where Barbie goes to shop. The Malibu Ave. line includes a bakery, grocery store, pet boutique, fashion vending machine, photo booth and more.

Barbie Malibu Ave. Frozen Yogurt Shop includes:

  • A working frozen yogurt machine that dispenses “frozen yogurt,” choose from two flavors (vanilla and strawberry?). You can even get creative and swirl two flavors together.
  • Toppings bar where you can make dough-like strawberries, oranges and starfruit (Barbie likes healthy toppings)
  • Two froyo cups (one pink, one green)
  • Two froyo spoons (one pink, one green)
  • Froyo kiosk with one chair and a cash register
The “dough” only comes in two colors, white and pink. If you want more colors, use Play-Doh or something similar.

The frozen yogurt playset retails for $19.99.

Check Walmart which has the set for $8.22: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Barbie-Kiosk-Yogurt-Shop/42124191
