Menchie’s Mini Cones & Mini Wafer Sandwiches Review

Fro-yo girl here. Menchie’s just introduced take-home treats. There are two kinds: Vanilla Snow froyo mini cones and Vanilla Snow mini wafer sandwiches. A box comes with six individually wrapped treats. I found both at Menchie’s in Burbank, CA.

The treats are made with RBST-free milk and contain live and active cultures.

Vanilla snow froyo mini cones ($7.49 for a box of 6-1.8 fl oz cones. The cone is 4.5 inches tall. It’s Menchie’s version of the Cornetto, with a sugar cone filled with Vanilla Snow froyo, topped with a chocolate drizzle and graham crumble. The Vanilla Snow was creamy and mild. The best part was probably the cone because it was coated on the inside with dark chocolate, so it stayed crunchy. The crumbs were fine, but I wasn’t sure what they were. At first I thought they were bland peanuts. I like the small size. I would get these again. One cone is 155 calories, 6.5g total fat, 22g total carbs, and 13g total sugars.

Vanilla snow froyo wafer sandwiches ($6.49 for a box of 6-4 fl oz sandwiches. I grew up eating a lot of ice cream sandwiches with vanilla ice cream and chocolate wafer cookies. These sandwiches had a similar soft, thin cookie with holes. The cookie sticks to your fingers and even your teeth. The Vanilla Snow froyo was icier than the Vanilla Snow froyo in the mini cones. The sandwich was decent but not an improvement over the traditional ice cream sandwich. It was a bit smaller at 3.5 inches long x 2 inches high. One serving is 130 calories, 1g total fat, 25g total carbs, and 14g total sugars.

These treats have very classic flavors, so they should appeal to most people. Check your local Menchie’s freezer for these treats. They’re only available for a limited time.

The last time Menchie’s offered take home treats was 2019, when they had frozen fruit bars and froyo cookie sandwiches.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Menchie’s April Featured Flavors & New Froyo Novelties

Fro-yo girl here. Menchie's has two featured flavors this month, Chocolate Cake Batter froyo and Dole Pomegranate soft serve.

Chocolate Cake Batter froyo is made with Hershey’s chocolate. It’s made with no artificial flavors, no artificial colors, and no high fructose corn syrup. First introduced in June 2022, it’s back by popular demand. I tried a bit and it is richer and has a cake mix taste. I don’t personally like cake batter flavors. Recommended toppings: Chocolate shell, Hershey’s kisses, whipped cream.

Dole Pomegranate soft serve is new to Menchie’s. Menchie’s has had a few Dole flavors in the past, but this is the first time they’ve offered Dole pomegranate. The color was intense and the flavor was tangy but more sweet than tangy. It tasted too candy-like. Dole Pomegranate is lowfat, gluten free, dairy free, and contains no high fructose corn syrup. Recommended toppings: fresh berries, mochi

I also spotted a sign for Menchie’s take home treats: Vanilla Snow froyo mini wafer sandwiches and Vanilla Snow froyo mini cones. The sign was up, but they didn’t have the treats in stock.

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.
