Menchie’s describes the new flavors: “The Twisted Cinnamon Churro swirls the classic crunchy treat into a frozen yogurt fiesta with notes of sweet dough batter and real cinnamon. Caramel Coconut Cookie Crunch is made with real cocoa, cookie crumbs and a kick of coco-nutty goodness for a creamy delicacy that will leave guests wanting some more.”
Twisted Cinnamon Churro: There have been several new churro froyo flavors lately but Menchie’s version tastes the most like churro. It has lots of cinnamon (you can see the cinnamon) but it also has that pastry/fried donut like flavor. The texture was very nice – thick, creamy and smooth. It’s richer (lowfat) and more decadent, yet still not as sweet as a real churro (which is a good thing).
Recommended toppings: Almonds, Heath bar, graham cracker crumbs, chocolate magic shell
Caramel Coconut Cookie Crunch: The picture on the flavor card looked like Samoas and reminded me of last year’s Caramel Coconut Cookie Craze. This flavor was also rich and creamy (it’s lowfat). The caramel flavor was stronger but you definitely taste the coconut. I didn’t see cookies but it’s made with cookies. I’m pretty sure anyone who enjoys salted caramel (which is the majority of people) and doesn’t hate coconut would like this flavor a lot.
Recommended toppings: Coconut, caramel sauce, Butterfinger, granola, popcorn
You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.
