The Yogurt Me logo looked familiar, like the logo for Cyber Yogurt in El Monte. Yogurt Me is owned by the brother of the Cyber Yogurt owner but seems to be run as a separate business. The name is different. Yogurt Me is not mentioned on the Cyber Yogurt website or Instagram account. However, there are similarities that go beyond the logo.
Yogurt Me also has a similar feel. It's 51 cents an ounce with 10 self-serve flavors a day. They didn’t have as many toppings but maybe they’ll add more later. Yogurt Me is currently in its soft opening phase and doesn’t have the full menu yet. They plan to add acai bowls and smoothies later, both of which are offered by Cyber Yogurt. Yogurt Me has free wi-fi, like Cyber Yogurt, but it isn’t a cyber cafĂ© like the latter. Cyber Yogurt seemed to be more health-focused but Yogurt Me is still getting established, so it’s hard to say what it will become.
Anyway, I thought the tart yogurt was good but not the most natural. It reminded me of tart froyo from the early days of tart froyo when all those Pinkberry inspired shops opened. Yogurt Me had sorbet as well, but no dairy-free milk alternative soft serve or even no sugar added or low carb options. The selection just felt limited for the time being. I hope that they do well, since service was friendly, the fruit was fresh, and they’re the only froyo shop in town. There wasn't much decor but maybe they're still working on that as well.
You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.
