Fro-yo girl here. Yogurtland’s LOVE Follow Your Heart promotion launches a new flavor today, Pairings & Sharings Strawberry Basil Lemonade Sorbet. It’s the last of the new LOVE Follow Your Heart flavors and the only new sorbet flavor. Since there were no new tart flavors (sad face), the lemonade is the only hope I had for some tangy tartness.
Strawberries and basil go well together, so this flavor sounded promising. I’ve had fresh strawberry basil lemonade and it’s delicious. The flavor is described as “created by combining two varieties of strawberries, basil, and just a hint of tangy lemon. We used real basil in this flavor to give it a fun twist!” It’s good for a sorbet because I really like fresh basil and you can taste the basil and the strawberry. I was expecting a stronger lemon flavor (this was before I read Yogurtland’s hint of lemon description). The flavor is sweet and just a little tangy. I noticed that Yogurtland didn’t have a Flavor Quest promotion this year (it usually runs from March – May). Sad face again. It was my favorite promotion that didn’t involve fancy new character froyo spoons. Speaking of collectible froyo spoons, Yogurtland and Menchie’s haven’t come out with a new design yet in 2017. Why?
