Officially Closed and Part of the Fro-yo Graveyard: Icebee Ocean Avenue, SF

Fro-yo girl here. Icebee has been closed for many months (they were open from October 2009 - January 2010 and they've been closed ever since), but they used to have a sign in the window, saying that they were closed temporarily (seasonal closure). The same thing happened with the Yogurt Bar location on Mission St. The sign said they were closed for the season and then they never reopened.

The fro-yo machines are gone, though you can still see the Icebee signs and furniture inside the shop. There's a new sign on the door. Kasumi is moving in (a restaurant).

You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

  1. my co-worker told me i think the health inspector or some important person found something really bad so they have to shut it down.

  2. i found a site that said they closed due to machine issues but i think it's far more worst than that to shut down the business.

can you find out what is the truth due to their business closure.

  3. I heard that they had machine issues from a friend but that doesn't seem like a good enough reason to close down. I can't imagine too many health violations with something as simple as fro-yo and crepes but those would be posted on http://sf.everyblock.com/restaurant-inspections/by-date/2010/1/29/3144381/ and I don't see evidence that they were closed due to health violations.
