New Seasonal Fro-yo Flavor at Red Mango: Pumpkin Spice
Fro-yo girl here. Spotted at Red Mango San Carlos thanks to a tip from Linda W.: new pumpkin spice fro-yo. Available for a limited time, pumpkin spice fro-yo comes with a complimentary graham cracker topping. The store is also showing its Halloween spirit with Halloween decorations (scary spiderwebs and spiders). Green tea fro-yo is gone (temporarily) to make room for pumpkin spice fro-yo.
Red Mango San Carlos turned 1 today (happy anniversary!) I remember being there on opening day for free fro-yo and running into Fro-yo Boy.
You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.
* RED MANGO: 825 Laurel St, San Carlos, CA
Ooh! Is it any good?
ReplyDeleteMmmm...I didn't want to review it because it wasn't my cup of tea :-(. I wanted to like it but it didn't have enough pumpkin or spice for me.
ReplyDeleteI just tried it today. . .it totally didn't do it for me, either (though I love that they offer a free graham cracker topping!). :/ It tasted like the Red Mango original tart (which I love) with just an odd aftertaste / subtle undertaste of pumpkin. Weird. How does it compare to Culture's pumpkin? I'm dying to try theirs!
ReplyDeleteHi Stella,
ReplyDeleteI agree with your description of thei Pumpkin Spice flavor. I haven't tried Culture's pumpkin this year. Their fro-yo is sweeter now than it was this time last year, so I think the pumpkin probably tastes different now too. I liked it a lot last year but it was too sour for some other people. The flavor was pronounced/strong. It was the first time I had non-sweet pumpkin fro-yo. It's different - or I should say it was different. If you try it, let me know what you think.
have you had the pumpkin flavor from blush? i think it's the best out there. it really tastes like pumpkin pie with pie crust topping and whipped cream. yummy. :)
ReplyDeleteThe Blush's pumpkin actually taste good without the toppings.
ReplyDeleteI still haven't had Blush's pumpkin yet...it's painful that I haven't tried it but I've been busy running around checking out new shops. Will try that Blush pumpkin this week!
ReplyDeletejust had some pumpkin ice cream from mitchell's can't imagine a fro-yo version
ReplyDeleteI tried Blush's pumpkin fro-yo and it's fantastic. It isn't the typical sweet pumpkin fro-yo...it has real yogurt taste plus pumpkin flavor and spices. Love it!
ReplyDeletePumpkin ice cream is so good too.
ReplyDeleteThe owner of dublin store told me today that they'll have pumpkin until end of the year. Yay!
ReplyDeleteThat's such good news because I love their pumpkin fro-yo - thanks!
